Off-Campus Dining: Due to the diversity of the student body, there is quite the variety of ethnic foods and interesting places to eat around town, you just have to be adventurous enough to give the places a try. Don't expect too many student discounts however, as it is a college town where everyone is a student.

The whole town knows that if not for the university there wouldn't be a town and students are treated great, with all of the off-campus dining seem to cater to the needs of the studying student clientele.

5 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus restaurants are great. No discounts for students, but food is usually pretty cheap as it is. TexMex is a favorite around here.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: I can usually find something I like to eat pretty easily.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I love love love the food in college station! We have the best places like fuego, grub, napa flats, laynes, and all the other typical restaurants. The places in college station usually run some sort of deals on different week nights and a lot of places are open pretty late or even all night.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Great variety but usually stick to using meal plans

Everyone remembers the food in high school. Well, once you get to college you can finally say goodbye to all of that now that you have the option of eating off campus whenever you want. And, for being such a small town, College Station actually has a wide variety of restaurants, and you will be able to find almost anything you crave, from Mexican food to soups and salads. Not to mention, College Station is home to the original Freebirds—a burrito joint where you can put whatever you want in a single burrito, and where you can sign your name on the wall.

Northgate houses many restaurants and bars that are within walking distance of campus. There are also some quaint little places in downtown Bryan for those special date nights. Also, since there’s such a strong international presence in the area, there’s also a good mix of authentic international restaurants. So, whether you’re looking for something quick and cheap to munch on with friends or a more formal evening, there is a place for you to eat in College Station.
