Campus Food: The campus food is okay, they have many different options to choose from, I wish they were open a little longer though

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food is okay. It could get repetitive a boring.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: I'm an athlete so I have to eat everyday so most of the time I buy my own groceries to make sure I eat three times a day but I rarely eat in the café. I like the salads in the POD, the pasta in Pizza Hut, and the breakfast food at Chik-fil-a.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: With the schedule of the caf. Not being flexible students are able to swipe in the pod to get a meal if they wanted to for later.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Well sometimes the food is good while other days the food is not so good.

The food on campus is mediocre at best. There are meal plans available to students who live on campus, but it is a generic menu every day. Each meal consists of a meat and two vegetables, but TSU students love their junk food, so the cafeteria is the least popular place on campus for students to eat. Another drawback of the cafeteria, other than the food, is the hours of operation. College students are known for pulling long hours, and it closes at 7 p.m. through the week, which forces students to go elsewhere for food. Freshmen are required to have a meal plan, and usually that’s about all it takes for them to realize there is better food available.

Students’ options are limited, especially those who are on special diets, because this is a Southern school, and therefore, greasy food is in! Soul food and junk food are the most popular diets, but the cafeteria really tries to serve well-balanced meals, as they should. The other eateries on campus are fairly good, such as the on-campus sports restaurant, Sports Zone, but generally you are still limited to a daily menu without promise of change. The dining hall is very comfortable during cold weather; however, eating in the dining halls gets very boring after awhile, and you’ll soon be running out to local fast food restaurants.
