Temple students can find a frat party any day of the week. Organizations throw parties on a weekly basis for a few dollars. For good bars, Old City, Manayunk, and Center have a wide selection. The Draught Horse (pronounced "Draft") is located on campus at Cecil B. Moore on Broad Street. The Draught Horse has daily drink specials, karaoke night, live music, and great food. Security is tight, so have ID. Although Temple advertises itself as a dry campus, there is a bar situated in the center of campus called Maxi's. This is the bar to go to when you're watching a sporting event or getting a quick slice of pizza. As far as clubs, there definitely is an age group difference with the regular nights and the underage nights. However, different genres of music are played at these clubs on certain nights, so it’s up to the student to decide which is more important to his or her club atmosphere of choice: the company or the beats?

To make the best of the party scene, check out the parties thrown by students from different schools in the area. Faces might become redundant, but the music and atmosphere are better than any club or bar. It also makes your transportation needs a bit more reliable, since Temple has shuttle services. For those students under 21, the nightlife option is limited to just the house parties and whatever events different campus organizations have. Most students find this isn’t much of a problem, and anyone can be kept entertained by the amount of stuff on campus. It can also save you from spending a ton on transportation, cover charges, and drinks.

Organization Parties
There are a lot of parties thrown by organizations on a weekly basis. Most are thrown by Greeks in a rented space, but they are definitely a favorite of the students. Other organizations throw parties on campus, but the cost to rent a hall is expensive, so only a few large parties are thrown each semester. The Main Campus Program Board and the Temple Student Government are the two largest organizations on campus. They are responsible for most of the parties, events, lectures, and movies on campus.
