Party Scene: The campus is small so there isn't much that is too far.

Overall Experience: Most of the professors are very open to helping students. Some professors are very smart but have trouble teaching what they know.

Administration: The drug and alcohol policies are reasonable. Visitation is difficult since you can only have one person signed into a building past midnight, otherwise you lose those rights for a short time.

Diversity: The campus is very diverse and accepting of all students.

Athletics: Temple expresses itself so much during every season. We take a lot of pride in our school and sports. Although we are not one of the best schools we still always have hope for greatness.

Campus Food: Much of the food available at the school is good but sometimes they lack in the main dining hall due to the lateness of the closure.

Campus Housing: There are a lot of dorms offered that are brand new or are still in the process of completion. Most dorms are still nice inside and out.

Campus Quality: There are a lot of student activities going on all week to keep us busy if needed.

Local Area: What the school has to offer makes my experience their great. The only issue is violence and strange locals but the campus police are always on duty.

Overall Experience: I think my overall experience at this school was fair. Some stuff was fun, some stuff I got bored, and some stuff I just couldn't do it or go because I'm underage but other than that some classes are difficult for second-language speaker, it's okay.

Campus Quality: I do not like how it's really small but I can live with it. I still think that they should have just built a campus, not sharing a building with some company.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are many types of ethnicity and race in our school so it's normal to us, we all accept each other.

Campus Housing: I do not live in campus housing so I don't know, but from what I heard before, it seems okay to leave. Maybe gets a little boring at some point.

Academics: There are many internship opportunities put on bulltinboard and every year at some point they have this career fair. They have various programs for art major and we all start from the beginners class so it's very handy starting.

Greek Life: I don't think we have a Greek life here.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: I think it's okay from what I hear from people around campus.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I haven't heard anything troublesome yet so seems fine for now.

Off-Campus Dining: There are two convenience stores right near the campus and there are tons of restaurants and cafes in a walking distance.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The dining place is a little small, plus there's no food served other than the vending machines so we mostly have to bring our lunch or dinner. So far, I don't have any complaints, but I wish we had a bigger cafeteria and they had served some food.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

Overall, Temple has its ups and downs, but students seem to love it all the same. On the downside, there can be some head-butts with tyrannical teachers, unfriendly cafeteria workers, and the always-frustrating financial aid office. Housing can cause an enormous hassle, and those commuting have to battle with parking or public transportation. Some people don’t feel as though they are prepared for the real world once they leave campus, but others say it’s been an incredible learning experience. Those students that love their experience at Temple all have their own reasons. Some love the atmosphere and found it to be a lot of fun. Others found it to be a great place to grow up and discover themselves. Lots of students take away more from living in a big city than they do from the University. But one thing it seems most students agree on is that the people at Temple University are what really make it a worthwhile experience.

In general, students coming to Temple have big expectations, from both the school and the city. Those that graduate either feel that Temple met their expectations, or if it didn’t, then it was their own fault for not pursuing more opportunities while they were there. Most students feel that Temple provides them with the opportunities that make their college experiences excellent—as long as they are willing to make use of them.
