Majors: My career goal is to becomes a Physical therapist. Temple has a great program for since majors with the convenience of the Temple hospital right down the road. Physical therapy is a growing field so i feel i will not have a problem getting a job when that time comes

Off-Campus Dining: Students do not have a problem finding somewhere to eat. there are so many options, all of different ethnics. the cost is affordable and easy to get to since there are a lot of place to eat in center city.

Campus Housing: The housing options are great you can either live in the traditional setting or a suite style room. the dorms are always clean since they have people to clean them every day. Also once you are a sophomore you have the additional option to live off campus. At Temple you are offered multiple places to live and all with different price ranges so you can find the one that is good for you.

Athletics: Many students take part in a sport wither its varsity or club. For the most part the team performance is good. While we are not the best they are not terrible either. Basketball games are always packed and people are cheering loud. Football games are a little less packed since they are not very good. Also gymnastics for it not being as big of a sport as basketball or football the student turnout is a decent size. The practice areas for the sports are a decent size. Some could be a little bigger. The coaches are great people and always helping there athletes improve. Along with being on a varsity team they have mandatory study hours that they must attend if they want to practice and compete.

Overall Experience: When i am at home i live in the country. i find it to be a great experience to live in the city. During my time at temple so far i learned how to take the subway and regional rail by myself. Also being in Philly taught me to be aware of my surroundings. I feel my school offers many clubs to join and rec sports so there is no need to feel bored. At Temple there is always something to do especially since city hall is right down the road and you can always plan a trip to go there and shop.

Academics: Our school has some of the best professors. They have worked in the field and have experience in there profession. they are always willing to help you and are flexible if you are not able to make it to their office hours. Also if you are having trouble in a class there are endless tutoring options to choose from that will best help you to succeed. While you can always study in your room you can also study in the library where we have quiet areas as well as group areas where you can talk and discuss things. also most of the lecture halls also have study rooms and chairs for you to sit and study. The work load is average, they do not give you to much that it is impossible to finish but they give you enough so that you understand the material. most of the time i spend doing work is just studying for test.

Academics: For my major i have to take all of the 4 major sciences. this past year i completed anatomy. in that class i got to dissect some animals and look at the different body systems as well as learn the bones, muscles, and all the parts for the systems. this class did not give much work, it was a lot of studying. the class offered many tutoring opportunities since it was a hard class.

Guys & Girls: No one tries hard to dress nice for class like they did in high school. although on the weekends people do dress up to go our and have fun. I always see couples holding hands and guys and girls hanging out. there is no weird separation between the guys and girls on the campus. The guys and girls on campus are very athletic and do well in the sports that are associated with.

Campus Food: There are so many places on campus to eat. there is the dinning hall which is the buffet and they always have different things to eat there. we also have a food court in our student center. they workers are always friendly and get your food to you as fast as possible. we also have another food court in our new dorm that was just built that has so many great things to choose from. Also in the building that holds a lot of sports practices that is a little sit down restaurant type place with a bunch of different choices from healthy options to some not so healthy. also for when you just need a quick snack to go we have a smoothie bar but it also has some food options. last out school also has coffee shops in the main lecture halls as well as the library and computer lab. along with all the great options the school provides we also have restaurants all down broad street to go to and food trucks throughout the campus that are also convenient to have.

Diversity: At Temple diversity is everywhere from sexual orientation to ethnic diversity. No one is made fun of for being who they are. It is common to walk around Temple and to see groups of people who are all different from each other.

Health & Safety: I see campus police patrolling on bicycles and the campus guards are plentiful and attentive.

Scholarships: Whether I went to the campus or called on the phone, I was able to get someone who could answer my questions.

Off-Campus Dining: Although I have not frequented many of the eateries I have seen. I have my favorite. It serves Asian food. There is a spot that houses a variety of kiosks. There are food trucks as well. Find someplace to eat is very easy. I haven seen any student discounts. You don't really need them, as the costs are reasonable.

Campus Quality: Temple has an excellent reputation for a quality education that I believe it lives up to. The teachers are knowledgeable, interested and interesting.I am being challenged, and I enjoy it.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

Overall, Temple has its ups and downs, but students seem to love it all the same. On the downside, there can be some head-butts with tyrannical teachers, unfriendly cafeteria workers, and the always-frustrating financial aid office. Housing can cause an enormous hassle, and those commuting have to battle with parking or public transportation. Some people don’t feel as though they are prepared for the real world once they leave campus, but others say it’s been an incredible learning experience. Those students that love their experience at Temple all have their own reasons. Some love the atmosphere and found it to be a lot of fun. Others found it to be a great place to grow up and discover themselves. Lots of students take away more from living in a big city than they do from the University. But one thing it seems most students agree on is that the people at Temple University are what really make it a worthwhile experience.

In general, students coming to Temple have big expectations, from both the school and the city. Those that graduate either feel that Temple met their expectations, or if it didn’t, then it was their own fault for not pursuing more opportunities while they were there. Most students feel that Temple provides them with the opportunities that make their college experiences excellent—as long as they are willing to make use of them.
