Overall Experience: Temple University is a large school with many opportunities offered to students. They also provide many resources to their students such as the tech center for online work and laboratories for experiments. These resources allow students to ease with success without any pain at all towards themselves as it is convenient to venture around campus to these resources.

Overall Experience: Temple University has so much to offer and it is easy to obtain those opportunities. Waiting to start my freshman year I was very nervous about my choice and wasn't sure I would like my experience. I was very wrong as the campus is very welcoming and always exciting with clubs, events, the facilities, and the student body. The city is right down the block and offers a whole new world aside from college life. I would highly recommend Temple University to other students looking for the right college fit.

Overall Experience: I love being a Temple Owl! My only regret is that I don't have enough time for all the extracurriculars I want to be a part of.

Overall Experience: I get to live in the middle of the city without actually feeling like I'm in the city while I'm on campus, which is a big plus to me. I think Temple is unique because if you just go there for a semester, you can feel how much the student body cares about the school and how proud people are to go to Temple. I've never met a person who went to Temple that regretted it and I think that has a lot to do with the kind of people the university attracts. Everyone is really motivated and they come from all types of backgrounds which I think strengthens the bond between the students.

Overall Experience: The campus is lovely and I am excited to check out my classes. The only negative so far of my university is that it appears certain departments are not clear with each other. For example, the Office of Orientation and Office of Honors gave contradictory information.

Overall Experience: Temple is a great school, with an excellent reputation especially for the over all cost of tuition for in-state students. The university has a great knack for hiring exceptional faculty and professors. It also has a ton of resources for students and a great library!

Off-Campus Dining: its not the best but its definitely not the worst. i like Philly Style pizza! but its so expensive. i've had awful food from Temple Star, but i just go to China House now over on Cecil. There are tons of food trucks everywhere, so getting food quick and cheap isn't very hard, as long as you have cash on you.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

Overall, Temple has its ups and downs, but students seem to love it all the same. On the downside, there can be some head-butts with tyrannical teachers, unfriendly cafeteria workers, and the always-frustrating financial aid office. Housing can cause an enormous hassle, and those commuting have to battle with parking or public transportation. Some people don’t feel as though they are prepared for the real world once they leave campus, but others say it’s been an incredible learning experience. Those students that love their experience at Temple all have their own reasons. Some love the atmosphere and found it to be a lot of fun. Others found it to be a great place to grow up and discover themselves. Lots of students take away more from living in a big city than they do from the University. But one thing it seems most students agree on is that the people at Temple University are what really make it a worthwhile experience.

In general, students coming to Temple have big expectations, from both the school and the city. Those that graduate either feel that Temple met their expectations, or if it didn’t, then it was their own fault for not pursuing more opportunities while they were there. Most students feel that Temple provides them with the opportunities that make their college experiences excellent—as long as they are willing to make use of them.
