Overall Experience: Not a degree from Harvard, but I hear good things about job prospects after college. I know a lot of people who have had several internships. Career center is very helpful.

Campus Housing: Personally don't like living in the dorm solely because of the cost, guest policy, and the room inspections. Living off-campus is way cheaper, although less secure, I guess. The guest policy is frustrating but understandable because of the location of Morgan Hall. The room inspections do not happen often but they can come in your room over breaks and get you in trouble with a "presence with alcohol" and "violation of student conduct" charges for something as innocent as having shot glasses in your room that you already pay thousands of dollars for.

Greek Life: Not your typical idea of Greek life but still awesome nonetheless! Philanthropic events are a major part of Greek life, social stuff does typically come second.

Overall Experience: In my major, the professors and students have an equal give take relationship and the professors are willing to listen to our ideas and guide us, instead of saying no or implementing their own ideas into our designs.

Campus Housing: It's average and typical dorm life. Nothing special but not bad either.

Campus Housing: I lived in James S. White Hall my freshman year of school. It was really nice compared to what you typically see in movies. It was a suite so we had our own bathroom and common area, which made it much more spacious and private than a communal setting. I was apart of the Resident Hall Association so I really got to see what the University wanted to do for Campus Housing. They were always planning social events and competitions between dormitories which was really interesting and fun to attend! As for pricing, when you break down how much you are paying per month it isn't worth the money even when you include the amenities (laundry, study rooms). Despite the pricing it is a great way to meet new friends that you'll have for the rest of your life.

Athletics: Temple's football team has definitely proved themselves this year! And we are so proud to be apart of this journey, students take pride in our school's teams. Whether or not we are doing amazing, we still come to support our teams. Athletics are definitely a big part of campus and sporting events are a must!

Overall Experience: The atmosphere at Temple University is amazing, students really take pride in our school and they're all proud to be Owls! Not only do students have a lot of school spirit but everyone has nothing but great things to say about the programs they are in and the classes they attend. There's always something to do on campus and places to hangout when the weather is nice. The only thing that would hold me back from deciding to chose Temple over again, is the area it is in. I have ran into a few encounters where my safety was at risk and I felt extremely uncomfortable. Other than the local area, there would be nothing to complain about.

Health & Safety: I wish there were more security off campus so the older students felt more at ease.

Overall Experience: There is a wide variety of course offered. The problem is getting into them because there are 40,000 students its hard to get the classes that you need to take versus get ed classes. I have classes in newer buildings and older buildings they are both good but in the older buildings trying to get above the first floor is difficult there are limited elevators and the stairways are kind of hidden and small.

Health & Safety: They use a text message alert system that keeps you updated of any crimes within close proximity of campus, there are plenty of police phones scattered across campus. they have door to door service if you don't feel safe and want a ride to or from school. well lit at night time. plenty of police officers around

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

Overall, Temple has its ups and downs, but students seem to love it all the same. On the downside, there can be some head-butts with tyrannical teachers, unfriendly cafeteria workers, and the always-frustrating financial aid office. Housing can cause an enormous hassle, and those commuting have to battle with parking or public transportation. Some people don’t feel as though they are prepared for the real world once they leave campus, but others say it’s been an incredible learning experience. Those students that love their experience at Temple all have their own reasons. Some love the atmosphere and found it to be a lot of fun. Others found it to be a great place to grow up and discover themselves. Lots of students take away more from living in a big city than they do from the University. But one thing it seems most students agree on is that the people at Temple University are what really make it a worthwhile experience.

In general, students coming to Temple have big expectations, from both the school and the city. Those that graduate either feel that Temple met their expectations, or if it didn’t, then it was their own fault for not pursuing more opportunities while they were there. Most students feel that Temple provides them with the opportunities that make their college experiences excellent—as long as they are willing to make use of them.
