5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Pursuing a graduate degree from TC was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The classes are engaging and ignite a passion for teaching every summer. One of the most unique qualities of TC that made it such a positive experience is New York City. Being able to explore the city and have class assignments incorporate the art and culture of New York is great.

Academics: The professors are helpful and usually thoughtful. The registration process is not hard. The workload is manageable.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall, my experience has been good. I think a student body with slightly more work experience might create a more informative and enriching classroom experience.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I wish the Career Services department were stronger and more knowledge about a variety of career options.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: The neighborhood is not great, so I feel safer walking in groups when leaving campus at night. However, the school seems to make an effort to make sure we know what kinds of safety options are available to us. I appreciate that.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek life isn't a big part of the school experience.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The school cares about producing socially conscious, culturally sensitive citizens.

3 College Junior

Athletics: It's New York City, so most people aren't at school to play sports. It's not an important part of the school.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Their hours are not ideal, considering how many late classes are offered. I will often get out of class feeling hungry, but not have an on-campus place to go for food because everything is closed.

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I did not apply for financial aid.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Being in NYC, there are a lot of options; however, rent is very high everywhere.

2 College Junior

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus, but I've toured the facilities. They're not great, especially for what you pay.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: From day 1 there are preventative measures taken by the administrators.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I really have no idea about our Greek life.

4 College Junior

Administration: The administration is there to help you. They have set up many avenues to get help when you need it.

Majors: If you want to get into the Communicative Sciences & Disorders program, you should have a bilingual/multicultural focus. Getting a position as a research assistant, writing a thesis, or participating in an internship/volunteer program that works with bilingual students all would be great ideas.

5 College Junior

Majors: The CSD program at Teachers College is a great program. Multicultural aspects are built into every class, and there are a lot of opportunities to work with bilingual clients. Students in this program are very friendly and eager to collaborate and help one another learn. This is a very team based program where you will meet authentic people who truly care about you. There are also many opportunities for research, as well as, teachers' assistants. The curriculum is cutting edge as most of the faculty are currently involved in research. Students are also required to read numerous peer-reviewed journal articles in addition to weekly textbook readings.

Off-Campus Dining: Anything you want, NYC has it

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: It's NYC, what can you expect? Find roommates and split the rent if possible

4 College Junior

Campus Food: Some is cheap, some is expensive.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Nice rooms but too expensive.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Talk with a financial aid advisor.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Would still go there because I'm in state and it's a great value.

3 College Senior

Athletics: Didnt really use the athletic facilities.
