Tarleton State is a fantastic however, unique university. Although just starting I've picked up on a number of great and interesting things about the school and its facility and students. Tarleton State is in a very rural area thus resulting in majority of its students to come from backgrounds that include smaller cities and towns. Many people aren't from bigger cities, and this reflects in a big way. With most people coming from places everyone gets to know each other, they help create a great family environment. No one is ever too busy to stop and help their neighbor or give advice here and there. Everyone is extremely humble and approachable, giving Tarleton a true family feel that many other institutions claim to have but fail to deliver. While not as diverse as some other colleges, Tarleton is still a school with people of all races who come many different ways and for many different reasons.

Tarleton State University is a great school. Everywhere you walk there is a smiling facing. They call Tarleton the best kept secret in Texas and I believe that is true. If you are looking for a high end school but still want to be able to have a relationship with your professors Tarleton is the place.
