Guys & Girls: You will find a lot of ag kids. There is a lot of jocks, and the 'geeky' people are there too, and are still pretty friendly.

Overall Experience: Most of the professors want you to succeed and do well. When people complain about classes, its usually because they never showed up in the first place. Most professors will encourage you to come in and get help, or go to S.I. meetings, the writing and math center, and talk to peers. I wish there was more variety in the science section of the whole school but for what is there it's pretty good.

Overall Experience: I'm not sure on this cuz I haven't graduated yet or done any internships.

Local Area: Stephenville is a small town, that is how it is. You're not going to find night clubs, giant fun parks, great museums, or anything that could probably be in the metroplex. If that is what you're looking for, its best you try to go for something more active and college kid geared, like Austin or Dallas. As much as it is a small town though, there are too many crazy drivers and no sidewalks. Good luck on cross the street without getting ran over.

Health & Safety: The medical services are not really that great, they misdiagnose a lot. Sexual assaults run rampant and there is at least 2 emails a month about someone being assaulted. Most people I have talked to about the issue in these emails brush it off and don't care. If your own student body doesn't care, it shows how much goes on stuff happens on campus.

Greek Life: Even though they say no hazing goes on, it does. A huge part of greek life here is gossiping about your sisters and brothers, and only some of the greek societies treat non-greeks like actual people and not inferior beings.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I really don't like athletics myself, but know a great amount of people do. There is a ton of school spirit, especially for football season, and it seems like sports are a huge main focus.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I really don't know much about this. Two years on campus is required

Scholarships: I started when a lot of people quit. So everyone who stayed had a lot of things to handle. But the attitudes that came with the "help" was not nice .

Campus Food: I like everything but dhall. It was sad how much you pay but nothing in return. Besides the Vegan line. That line had awesome food !

2 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I stayed in Ferguson which was community styled restroom & shower. Horrible cleaning. Cleaning lady use to hide from me when I asked her to clean the mold out of the showers

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I'm a track athlete without a locker room in a not fully funded program

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I'm looking to live off campus, but as a sophomore they require otherwise. I've had issues in my dorm and don't want to live through Tarleton

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I don't mind the options that I have

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I go out occasionally whenever I just want to have a good time. Not too much into the party scene though

4 College Freshman

Administration: As far as I'm concerned personally, it's been great.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Dealing with financial aid is a hassle in itself, but Tarleton provided me with people who were willing to help and take the time to answer anything I needed.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: I like the how going to the Dhall is convienent being on campus in between classes and what not. I just get tired of the food sometimes always having the same options

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Some facility are very nice, but some are very bad. I, unfortunately, experienced the bad.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I commute from out of town.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I don't mind, there is a lot of Mexican food(to be expected though haha) but it is amazing Mexican food. There is a yogurt shop in town which is also amazing, and its nice to have a couple of 24/7 restaurants in town. Also like the Asian food places, those are pretty good if you want something other than tex-mex, mexican, or fast food. There isn't really vegetarian places, that's ok with me I don't really care, but it is a little hard for vegetarians to find good veggie based food joints. Don't care about 'organic', because seriously, that crap is just a ruse.

3 College Freshman

Administration: They could improve on some stuff...stuff like underage drinking and visitation in dorms after hours is far too lenient. I know a lot of professors value having students in class too, but a lot of students could care less and end up skipping the entire semester. It would be nice to have a penalty for skipping too many classes, but its just how the cookie crumbles I guess.

Party Scene: I'm saying its bad not because the parties are crappy and boring, but because of the amount of dangerous activities going on. No one seems to understand safety, and then you get about 50 people from so said party complaining about rape, accidental pregnancy, STD's, and overdose because its just a free for all. LJT season? Horrible, kids come to class hung over and on the verge of immensely vomiting in front of the whole class. Finals are skipped, and then people complain about failing. Its called planning and knowing how to put the darn bottle down so you're not seriously sick the next day.

Scholarships: After calculating my aid on gateway, I was wondering if I was going to receive a refund check like the office had told I would. Low and behold, I went back to ask questions some more and turns out they miscalculated and pretty much lied to me about the whole thing. After taking out a decent sized loan, I then got a refund, but they kept money that they didn't even tell me about till the next semester for 'tuition' reasons, and refused to tell me anything else. None the less, I did receive my aid, which is good. But it seems that they're very disorganized, and makes you play the guessing game half the time to see if you're going to get your aid or not. Be very assertive and follow up frequently, or they will just ignore you till last minute.
