Overall Experience: I love it at Tarleton State University, its a really nice environment and I love the teachers. They are extremely helpful and I love going to classes.

Overall Experience: You have to know what you are doing because the advisors tend to get upset if you don't have a plan. This is very upsetting because not everyone knows what they want to do with there life! Look up professors on RateMyProffessor.com because there are some good ones and some horrible ones. I took Earth System Sciences and lets just say most of the class made 30s on test and we could never get assistant from our teacher. She would go through 90 (200 words plus on each) slides in a 90 minute class. Just look them up.

Health & Safety: At night they have a golf cart that drives around campus to help kids get to the destination on campus safely. There are many pledges about protecting "our five" and different things like that. The campus could use more security during the day and at night to patrol the areas because there are a lot of sketchy dark lit areas.

Campus Housing: Living on campus is pricey. If you don't have a full sized kitchen in your housing assignment then tack on at least another $1000 to your tuition bill. If you get assigned to bender or Ferguson then you better bring all the sanitary cleaning supplies you can buy. I lived at Heritage Hall last year and it was pretty decent. It is newer so it comes with two full kitchens on each floor but you still have to have a meal plan. The laundry room is always full on Fridays and Sundays so plan around that. You might become best friends with your hall mates and you might not ever see them, that's really up to you to make those connections.

Greek Life: Everyone on campus is in Greek Life. It is a great way to network. Greek Life allows you to get out of the dorms and do something. There are many events throughout each month by different fraternity and sorority for the students to enjoy. If you want to grow socially on campus or get to know more than just a few people- Greek Life. If I had to guess 75% of the campus is greek, so it's a pretty big deal.

Athletics: Starting the school year out, supporting the football team seemed to be a big thing on campus. However when the team looses back-to-back people stop attending the games. Football came and went then basketball season came and that was HUGE. There were so many announcements to attend the game that you knew when the games were even if you did not keep up with the team. Greek like really pushes for the basketball team with events like Greek Night and advertising for upcoming games on social media. As for the athletes themselves, I do not know of many who are involved heavily around campus. The only time you can count on seeing an athlete is at the gym or on the field/court.

Overall Experience: College so far has been everything I ever heard about but never listened to. It's the place where your circle of friends drops by two or three people. The place where you actually have to study to earn your grades and just spark noting won' cut it anymore. The place where your grades can literally make or break you. It is also the place where you begin to grow. I love my school because our traditions bring us closer as a community. You can strike up a conversation with just about anyone and they won't think you are weird for doing it. College is everything I heard about growing up but never took the time to take the advise of others, and it's everything I never expected too.

Overall Experience: I started attending Tarleton State University in the fall of 2015 and fell in love the moment I stepped on campus. The small town atmosphere and friendly people made me feel right at home. Making friends was effortless and they quickly became like family to me. There are a lot of great schools out there but there is no better place for me.

Party Scene: There are frat/house parties that you can attend at Tarleton. a lot of students like going to city limits or to ledgends country club.

5 College Sophomore

Party Scene: lots of parties. not far because Stephenville is such a small town.

Academics: you get such a high level of academics at Tarleton State University

Diversity: there are a lot of different people on campus. people are very accepting of one another.

Overall Experience: I don't have much to say but it's okay.

Health & Safety: They really try they're best to prevent anything around school.

Overall Experience: The classes that are offered at Tarleton are like any other classes you would find at Texas A&M or the University of

Texas at Austin, the only difference being that the class size of a freshman biology class would be around 100 instead of 300. The class room sizes at Tarleton vary depending on the course. There are huge lecture halls and there are also smaller, more private classrooms for about 20 students or so. Honors classes are going to be the smallest classes on campus, because not many student stay in the honors program once they have been in it for a few years because you have to take an honors course every semester to remain in the honors college and there just is not enough courses offered for upper level honors, causing them to keep experiencing students dropping out of the honors college.

Overall Experience: I was actually recruited on campus for a summer internship for the summer of 2016. I received a phone call one night from a guy and he basically said "Hey, would you wanna make like $8,000 this summer and gain character and leadership skills along the way?" and of course I was interested! The man on the phone made me promise to him that I would show up to the informational session because he only has a certain number of seats available for each meeting, so of course I was not going to let him down. I went through a process of three interview sessions and eventually got selected for the internship. When I got to South Carolina, the experience was not was I was looking for at all. So about a month into it, I decided to quit the internship and come home back to Texas. With that being said, it is really easy to find internship opportunities on campus, they will literally call you and ask you to join them!

Health & Safety: During orientation they give us a presentation on sexual safety during your first year of college and they also made us complete on online course during "T-week", which is transition week, the week before school starts where new freshmen get settle into their new college life. They also made us complete two more online courses throughout the course of our freshman year called "Campus Clarity", which basically freshened up our memory on the fact that rape is bad and if you're in a sticky situation you know you can get help. I would say that they cover the topic pretty sufficiently.

Campus Housing: I absolutely loved the dorm that I stayed in last semester. I stayed in Legacy hall with my life-long best friend and the rooms were set up so that we were able to each have a set of curtains between us and the bathroom so it was almost like having a door. It was still private enough for me to enjoy living on campus. I have to say I LOVE living on campus and being able to get up 5 minutes before class and still make it on time. The only bad thing about living in a dorm is that it seems like nobody cleans the laundry room, specifically the washers and dryers could be kept a little more clean, other than that, it was kept very clean in the lobby and hallways.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I am personally not in a sorority, however, almost every single one of my friends are. They try to push me to join their sorority all the time, but that's just not the type of person I am. I like to focus more on studying than socializing but it is nice that the majority of my friends are in a sorority because they let me in on all the good parties.
