Overall Experience: As soon as I stepped foot on the campus I knew that this was the college for me. It felt like a home away from home. Everything and everyone gave off the small-town welcoming "how've you been" kind of feel. I love this school and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Even though we are small, we have some of the most diverse student life and major choices I have seen. Plus we are so full of traditions! It makes for a wonderful, and fun, college experience.

Overall Experience: This school is focused on student success. The faculty and staff are very helpful and want the best experience for their students. If I went back I wouldn't change choosing this school to attend.

Overall Experience: My freshmen year of college was an absolutely amazing experience. Because it is a smaller school, the atmosphere is a lot more welcoming and friendly. People are easy to approach and seem to be eager to help. The Texan traditions there make homecoming week a really fun time. The bonfire is probably my favorite tradition of them all. My school is unique in that they have chosen "poohs." These people are in costume from head to toe and speak in a high voice so that they won't be recognized. They are the most spirited people of the school and they keep everyone's excitement level at 100 percent. The "Purple Poohs" identities are kept secret until those people graduate and they take off their costume. They are at every sports event and tradition that Tarleton State University has and they are my favorite part of the school! If I had a thousand different chances to choose another school I would always choose Tarleton. Everyone care's for each other's success and we aren't afraid to have fun.

Overall Experience: It's Amazing everyone is so friendly and nice.

Overall Experience: I love Tarleton, it is considered a suitcase school, but the atmosphere while on campus is amazing. It's like one big family. Everywhere I've ever been you walk down a hallway and it's like your getting judged. At Tarleton, it's way different, if you walk down a sidewalk and smile at someone you don't know. Chances are, if you say hi, you've just made a new friend. It's like kindergarten everywhere you go, you have friends.

Off-Campus Housing: Visiting friends they always say that it is a typical college apartment. Prices are adequate.Apartments are a little run down but overall safe and close to school.

Scholarships: It is a busy time of the year and it can be difficult to get a response. When you do get to communicate though it is great because they give you the time you need and answer all of your questions. You also have an email option for communication.

Guys & Girls: You will find a lot of ag kids. There is a lot of jocks, and the 'geeky' people are there too, and are still pretty friendly.

Overall Experience: Most of the professors want you to succeed and do well. When people complain about classes, its usually because they never showed up in the first place. Most professors will encourage you to come in and get help, or go to S.I. meetings, the writing and math center, and talk to peers. I wish there was more variety in the science section of the whole school but for what is there it's pretty good.

Overall Experience: I'm not sure on this cuz I haven't graduated yet or done any internships.

Local Area: Stephenville is a small town, that is how it is. You're not going to find night clubs, giant fun parks, great museums, or anything that could probably be in the metroplex. If that is what you're looking for, its best you try to go for something more active and college kid geared, like Austin or Dallas. As much as it is a small town though, there are too many crazy drivers and no sidewalks. Good luck on cross the street without getting ran over.

Health & Safety: The medical services are not really that great, they misdiagnose a lot. Sexual assaults run rampant and there is at least 2 emails a month about someone being assaulted. Most people I have talked to about the issue in these emails brush it off and don't care. If your own student body doesn't care, it shows how much goes on stuff happens on campus.

Greek Life: Even though they say no hazing goes on, it does. A huge part of greek life here is gossiping about your sisters and brothers, and only some of the greek societies treat non-greeks like actual people and not inferior beings.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I really don't like athletics myself, but know a great amount of people do. There is a ton of school spirit, especially for football season, and it seems like sports are a huge main focus.

Off-Campus Dining: I haven't been to them all. But the few that I have a pretty good, cheap, & good people own & work in them

Scholarships: I started when a lot of people quit. So everyone who stayed had a lot of things to handle. But the attitudes that came with the "help" was not nice .

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: I like everything but dhall. It was sad how much you pay but nothing in return. Besides the Vegan line. That line had awesome food !

2 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I stayed in Ferguson which was community styled restroom & shower. Horrible cleaning. Cleaning lady use to hide from me when I asked her to clean the mold out of the showers

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I'm a track athlete without a locker room in a not fully funded program

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I'm looking to live off campus, but as a sophomore they require otherwise. I've had issues in my dorm and don't want to live through Tarleton
