Student Body: Westchester Community College is a very diverse school. They are not only ethically diverse but they are also economically and religiously diverse. The level of acceptance is very high and students are always accepted by their peers.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think that tuition at Westchester Community College could be more affordable. Due to my family's income I am unable to receive financial aid which means I have to take out a loan every year. While WCC is very affordable other expenses such as books and supplies for certain classes make it hard to get by.

Campus Resources: I find the counselors at Westchester Community College to be very helpful! Any questions that I have had over the years have always been answered to the best of the counselors ability. There are so many little steps that go into transferring from one college to another and I was given good advice throughout the entire process. One thing that is very frustrating at times is waiting to speak with a counselor. Sometimes the wait can be as long as 2 hours depending on when you go. This makes it inconvenient for the student who wants to see a counselor in between classes. Overall, I think the counselors are great and are very helpful.

Campus Resources: Wouldn't necessarily call it the best but the library is always available to students, supplies are plentiful, the student center is always full of people ready to help you find what you need. There are always activities being held on campus hosted by various clubs. It's an overall great experience.

Online Courses: I didn't like it . I felt alone with someone grading me

Campus Resources: The school itself is not that bad its just the students and faculty that work there.

Many of the teachers rely on their students reading textsbooks than actually teaching. They create texts books that are sold in the store, demand their students to buy it, and then never actually use the books.

If the school was cleaner with more educated teachers it would be a top notch school for a great price.

Overall Experience: I am unhappy at this current school and I would not have chosen to go had my parents not made me.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: I believe to get any real job, you should attend a four-year school after completing your time here. I wouldn't go out into the workforce with only an Associate's from this college.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The Student Center is quite a nice place in general. The libraries could use some up-keep. Campus activities usually take place on days I am never in school. I never enter the Athletic Center because I never have class in there. However, the one time I did, I was displeased.

Career Services: Even though I am not graduating until December, I have spoken with Career Counselors and various other counselors about what I should do and they have been mildly helpful. I am saying "It's great" as a benefit-of-the-doubt because I have not had much experience.

Tuition & Financial Aid: You don't really get "financial aid" from the college...you get scholarships. Tuition is pretty cheap to begin with and I got a $2500 scholarship (that's basically half the cost of tuition). I do not believe, even though I am not paying much, that what I am paying is worth what I am getting.

Overall Experience: Some professors are good, a lot were bad. Some felt like they didn't even know what they're talking about. It's like that in every school. Courses, again, were a waste of my time and there weren't many choices my first semester. Now there are more.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I was originally a Performing Arts major, so I don't have much more than a few weeks to work with in the Communications Major. To be a Performing Arts major, you have extremely restricted options about what classes to take. To be a Communications major, you have many more options (most of the reason I changed majors) to play with.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: To be completely honest, most of my classes are a waste of my time. My first semester, my least favorite subject was actually my favorite class because it was the only class like I felt I was learning anything in. Online classes give an immeasurable amount more work than on-campus classes. Professors, generally (there are exceptions), don't tend to show much interest in the students. Class registration is easy enough, unless you're in academic jeopardy.

2 College Senior

Student Body: Diversity is very good, I will give the student body that. They have a good amount of people from various different backgrounds. However, most people there don't care about education, don't care about the school, and have no respect for each other. Not only that, but they don't care that they don't. Because everyone feels this way, the atmosphere at WCC is oppressive.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Generally, academic flexibility is alright. I mean, they do what they're supposed to, you just have to constantly be on their back to make sure they are doing it. They lost my credits on several occasions and I had to rectify it myself.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: I do not enjoy them. They give ridiculous amounts of work, most of it is busy-work.
