5 College Junior

Online Courses: I know that angle is a easy online access to teacher reports and homework grades.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I took some classes to bring me up to college level in 2008, out of school since 1995.

5 College Junior

Career Services: I plan on searching for employment for my internship at SCCC.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The professors are excellent teachers and willing to help you with their work during class and office hours.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I one point I joined a ASD club and the students made me assistant secretary. I enjoyed the club. Yet, the next semester I had to focus more on my college work for a A grade.

Academic Experience: I have managed to acquire a work study job last semester working for Girl's Inc. in Schenectady. It was fun creating computer bingo teaching the 5 to 8 year old's computer parts. They were a great knowledgeable group of students and the staff members were nice too.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Schenectady County Community College has a learning center that helps students with their homework projects. They help students figure out the answers to their homework and not give the answers to the homework assignment.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I only had one credit to transfer in from another SUNY school, and that went seamlessly as I was assured it would from the beginning. It counted as an elective for my degree. As for scheduling, some semesters were a disaster and others were a cakewalk. Only once did I have to change my work schedule to allow for an evening class that ended up being the worst class I've ever taken, but it was a last-minute switch and was my own fault.

Overall Experience: The alumni network is very local-based, and very hit-or-miss. Students are seriously recommended to participate in the Disney program or the Kentucky Derby internship where they come back and report that they were worked like slaves for minimum wage. We are constantly being taken advantage of in the name of "experience" and any real work that we get outside of those programs are essentially entry-level jobs that anyone with or without this degree could get, anyway.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Most of the teachers are fine, I've had some that are absolutely incredible and I love running into them on campus. Others, however, are only adjuncts and must hate their jobs, given how terribly they "teach" the material. A lot of classes rely on you reading through the textbook and putting a lot of extra time into learning because classroom lectures are useless.

Academic Experience: My degree in Culinary Arts is such a joke - there are so few teachers in the program that you're stuck with the same three for every class. It's very irritating to watch students with no skill or talent pass classes with the same grade as you when you consistently have a better product and do better on assignments. In the real world, this degree is useless and means nothing to any future employers unless they too graduated from the school.

2 College Senior

Overall Experience: I feel as though I'm surrounded by students who don't care about their education. Students consistently don't go to class or don't do assignments. I wouldn't come here again, the food in the dining hall is of poor quality and there are only 3 vegetarian options offered. "Events" held on campus for students are usually tacky and embarrassing, and there's never any attempts from the school to ask us what we'd like to see happening for those events. Quiet areas are also almost never quiet, students tend to listen to music without headphones and have loud conversations everywhere on campus.

Overall Experience: i love them they push me to be better

3 College Junior

Online Courses: Registering for classes was great so we did not have to be on a line in school waiting for everyone to get their turn with a couple advisors.

2 College Junior

Overall Experience: I applied for the Criminal Justice System internship and my professor always left me with the "I will get back to you" response for months, leaving me with no internship to advance my experience.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: One thing about the school is that they hired great professors, who are always available whenever you are, because it is a community college they want you to branch out and succeed in greater endeavors

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: There are not a lot of courses in Criminal Justice that take my interest or not many in general.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Just a community college, they make you feel as if it is still High School.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have had a mostly great experience with my professors and the flexibility in how they accept assignments, etc. I have had one experience with a professor that where I felt I was treated unfairly, but that can happen at any school.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I have taken two online courses. I did well on both courses. I am an older student and I did well learning how to figure out how to navigate the online course management.

4 College Junior

Career Services: I don't have much knowledge about the career center. I do know that my legal professors email me job prospects all the time. I am confident that I will be able to obtain a position after I graduate.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: My experience so far has been positive. Most of my professors have been generous with their time and very knowledgable. My legal professors are exceptionally dedicated and knowledgable. The class sizes are small. My largest class had about 35 people in it. There are so many different types of courses offered. There is a music program, culinary, paralegal and a variety of other classes offered.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I feel confident that I will be able to gain viable employment after graduating from SCCC. There are many employment advisors available.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: The professors are extremely dedicated and generous with their time. They go out of their way to help students to learn and excel. The Paralegal Program at SCCC is the only American Bar Association approved program in the Capital District and beyond. The campus is day to navigate. One of the professors runs the internship program and really goes out of his way to assist students in obtaining internships and jobs out in the local legal community.
