Tuition & Financial Aid: It's pretty basic honestly. Not much to say about it. If by chance you are having trouble during any of the process the people are there for your assistance.

Overall Experience: Students at this college are more than likely to come out with a career they had graduated from. There are multiple career fairs during each semester, people to assist in finding a job, and some majors even send you out on internships during the semester. My major (PTA) is one of them. Also jobs are easily accessible here at herkimer. For instance, work study is offered and students are paid to do simple jobs around school grounds. A little extra cash in your pockets doesn't hurt.

Overall Experience: Everything to do with the courses are amazing! I personally love it. It is a smaller school, so the professors are very close and helpful. It's kind of like a little family, or at least that is what my shoe feels like. There are so many courses to chose from; all of which should meet your typical standards if not greater than them.

Online Courses: The course assignments and peer to peer interactions are most of the time the same thing.

3 College Senior

Student Body: I truly don't know what the goes on campus. I'm an online student that lives in Buckeye, Arizona.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: This college offers a great deal in class course. They offer different course in a different types of courses of study.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: The paralegal studies program is based on the American Bar Association for paralegals, so you are getting a degree and not a certification in Paralegal Studies.

3 College Senior

Career Services: it is limited on job listings

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Some of the instructor are very understanding that I have a child with Autism and some think that I'm making it up.

So the flexibility goes from instructor to instructor.

Academic Experience: There is a wide variety of academics offered at Herkimer. The school even offers an invitation only honors program, which are three independent study courses. The three courses consist either of work/internship experience or writing a research paper. Class registration is easy since an academic adviser will let you know which courses to take. A student will have freedom with choosing their electives, but not much else.

Academic Experience: The Travel & Events Management major does have an internship requirement. With the internship, a student is responsible to find a business that will accept them as an intern. The workload and curriculum isn't bad if a student can manage their time well.

Overall Experience: I mainly chose Herkimer for the affordability, the school has proven to be so much more. The school and instructors are amazing. The administration staff are always there to help. I wouldn't change my decision going here, it's the best decision of my life.

Campus Quality: The facilities are very modern compared to the rest of town and there's always something going on, on the campus. There are plenty of clubs and organizations to be a member of.

Career Services: I haven't graduated, so I haven't used the career services.

Academic Flexibility: An Academic Adviser will inform you which classes need to be taken, but they do have a wide variety to select from. Some courses require more attention while others are more lenient. Most instructors do not accept late assignments/tests whatsoever. I've only come across one instructor that accepted late assignments.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Herkimer is an excellent school to start a college education, very affordable for online and off campus students. The Financial Aid office is on top of things. If there's any missing information they will need, they send a notification via email and will put a hold on your student account until the requirement is satisfied. Any mishaps or problems have always been corrected.

Online Courses: Herkimer College uses the Angel software to deliver online courses. The workload will vary depending on the instructor. The only peer to peer interaction is through discussion boards and Angel email. Registering for courses is fairly easy if a student has already spoken with their academic adviser. Relationships with instructors vary, some are quite helpful while others are not.
