2 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: There are not enough class day/time choices for many of the required classes. Often forced to take evening or online classes due to lack of accomodating class times

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: workload is intense as the online classes I have taken were shorter than a classroom setting so more work crammed in to less time

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: unsure, not involved in post-grad or know anyone who is

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I am unsure on this as it relates to my major. The Agriculture and "tech" fields seem to become employed rather easily after graduation

Overall Experience: The Nursing Dept. has some great professors and some that will take the time to help you out. But most are not user friendly and are not good professors. The material is difficult and they do not give good, clear explanations of the topics. Exams are the worst, they are seemingly prurposely diificult if not impossible to do well on. The questions are written is a way to blur the lines of the correct answers. NCLEX exam will be difficlut, but these exams are more difficult than that, and not written in the same manner. Way too difficult, seem to be setting you up for failure, and FRUSTRATION for sure.

Academic Experience: unfortunately, it is a difficult curriculum made even more difficult by the professors. Fast paced and the exams are unnecessarily difficult and do not follow the same format as the NCLEX exam we will have to take to become Nurses. Newer professors are not good teachers, they are very confusing and confused when they present a topic.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Since its my first year i havent really grasp anything because of the way I learn things but it definitely leaves room for improvement

4 College Freshman

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am so glad I choose to go to Alfred State. Just because it's a rural campus doesn't mean they don't attract great talent or have much to offer. The architecture faculty are some of the best people I know and have been extremely helpful even well after hours, weekends or during the summer answering questions and offering advice. The college helped facilitate the very close group of architecture students and my friends at school. My only complaints are about food and a couple non architecture staff members. Don't think because it's in the middle of nowhere that there's nothing to do, on the contrary I'm always busy and wish I got to more of the fun things on campus or in town. My advice is go tour the school, it's worth the drive.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Some of my credits transferred and some were not applicable to the degree program which was currently at the college. The classes were quite flexible in terms of making my schedule and the streamline of the classes which were needed before others.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: Online classes are great for convenience, I was never a fan of taking them because but I have become accustomed because they have been apart of my curriculum for the past two semesters. The peer-to-peer interaction is great because of the discussions the students participate in.
