Greek Life: We don't exactly have Greek life at Stevenson. Instead of real fraternities and sororities, we have Greek clubs that barely have any members.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Stevenson stresses the fact that education is more important than sports but the athletic facilities at Stevenson are among the best I have seen. The school along with its benefactors pour money into its sports programs regularly.

Overall Experience: Personally I did not connect with many students at the University until my second semester. Several people knew me as the friendly football player who was friends with everyone but I considered many of them acquaintances. It wasn't until my second semester at Stevenson that I felt connected with the school. I guess I had to get used to the swing of college. Once I did, I enjoyed my time at Stevenson University and cannot wait to return for my Sophomore year.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: From what i have heard Football,Basketball, and Lax are the main sports that draw attention to the school .

Overall Experience: I have only been at stevenson for one semester so I do not have alot of experience in the school, but it is a very nice school.

Health & Safety: When it comes to the health & safety factor, you have nothing to worry about. The campus crime is slim to non. Security are always driving around and patrolling the campus almost 24/7 doing rounds. We have the blue light system with a phone that allows students to call help for anything that going wrong with them. If you get out of class late and you don't feel safe walking back to your dorm alone security will drive you back or walk with you back to your dorm to ensure your safety. SU has special security measures for (hostage or shooter, maintenance and medical emergencies, hate crime/ attempted suicide, death/ suspicious objects, fire, hazardous materials sexual assault or rape, and bomb threats).

Overall Experience: My experience with courses and professors at this school okay. Being a transfer student coming into the spring semester you don't really have a good choice when getting into the classes you need. I disliked all of my professors expect for one. Some of the English 152 professor DO NOT have a accurate grading system. It like they look at your essay and pick out of a hat of letter of what grade to give you that week. The class styles are pretty nice. The class sizes are no more than 15-20 on average depending on what class your taking.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: They have a lot of different events to offer to each major

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Legal Studies will make my career prosper.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I was involved in a situation here and the way it was handled was ok. Not the best, but ok.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The only thing I absolutely HATE is the unfair A-room/B-room situation.

2 College Sophomore

Athletics: This school dedicates AT LEAST 80% of it's income to athletics as if we're a D1 school and we're not. It's very saddening. We have horrible food and mentally challenged working during the semesters to evade tax pay but they hide the mentally challenged during any event or Open House. It's disgusting.

Overall Experience: The education is excellent as I stated before, but the food, financial aid, and cost as a whole is horrible. I received a 4.0 Spring Semester and a cumulative 3.589 GPA for my first year here and I barely received any financial aid. I've been denied loans and not accepted to win ONE scholarship Stevenson offered for upcoming sophomores, seniors, and juniors. Not only did I fail to obtain financial aid, I know people with less than a 3.0 GPA who have full rides here and it's really saddening. I've been begging for help from celebrities, corporations, and my school before my $8,116/semester bill is due this Friday, but to no avail. Hopefully, I don't have to drop out of school. Thanks Stevenson.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: There has only been one professor that I did not care for.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The career success coaches are phenomenal!!

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: Haven't had any run ins with this, so seems okay to me.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: Not involved in this aspect, so I'm not the best person to ask.

3 College Senior

Athletics: I'm not a sports fan, but we seem to be average.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Most professors are engaging and passionate, and maintain balance in the class.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love everything about most of my professors, the class sizes, and everything mentioned above. I have only had one bad teacher at the school.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Our school focuses on "Career Architecture." I have already had an internship because it is required for my major. Career services and several of my professors send out emails about internship opportunities in the area frequently.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: I am saving money as a junior living in an apartment than I did the past two years living in lower classmen dorms. I believe the food plan is irregular (things on Owings Mills that are a meal swipe cost flex on Greenspring) and is too much. I wish I was able to switch to a lower meal plan my second year because the food got worse and I found myself rarely eating or using my meal swipes although it was very expensive.

I also believe everyone should be allowed to have a toaster.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The people from students to staff are amazing, although I am not sure that I would choose this school again because of how expensive it originally was and how much the tuition has continually increased.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: No one will really peer pressure anyone into doing anything and if you're underage you just have to be a little secretive same as high school, back packs and water bottles.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There is always security going around campus and security guards at all doors after 8pm so there is no real reason to not feel safe on the campus as no one can even get in with a car after 8 without signing in. Any health services here are extremely expensive and the employees are mediocre at best. You're better off going to the patient first center down the street.

Stevenson University offers students a great experience, both academically and personally. However cliché it may sound, the school really is like a big family. The teachers develop close bonds with their students that just cannot be found at other schools. Even though the school is growing in leaps and bounds, the closeness of the school will never be gone because the administration actually cares about students' futures. There is a good reason this school is the most up-and-coming University in the state of Maryland: the people are great.

Stevenson University offers students an opportunity to grow. However, it is important to note that the University gives students back only what the students put in. It is possible to attend Stevenson University, do "just enough" to graduate, and get a job. It is possible to try "just enough," and just be another student in a desk. However, students like this usually drop out in the first year. Why? This University is designed for people who want to push themselves and help push each other to succeed. "Just enough" isn't good enough for most who attend here. Students join societies and clubs, stand up for their beliefs and passions, dedicate their time to learning outside of the classroom, and earn the University the reputation it proudly holds today.
