Drug Safety: No one will really peer pressure anyone into doing anything and if you're underage you just have to be a little secretive same as high school, back packs and water bottles.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There is always security going around campus and security guards at all doors after 8pm so there is no real reason to not feel safe on the campus as no one can even get in with a car after 8 without signing in. Any health services here are extremely expensive and the employees are mediocre at best. You're better off going to the patient first center down the street.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It is really a hit or a miss with classes and professors here. Some professors are not involved at all and terrible teachers but others iv'e had are the best teachers I have had in any school. Depending on your major is is how diverse your courses can be.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It really depends on your major here. If you are a nursing major there are many events for employers and opportunities for you. However if you are an IS major its really up to you to get through to career services and employers.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The freshman housing is very very nice and large rooms with private showers and bathrooms. Most people are social around you as well. The only problem is the few who to bed at 10 on weekends and call an RA. And in the case that security is called they are just the absolute worst except for a few. They for some reason think they are the secret service and will consider you carrying a water bottle and juice at night on a weekend to be a bomb and surround you.

Greek Life: The only greek life on campus is a single sorority and a math fraternity. The only reason I know the frat exists is because of a poster I saw on the wall of a hallway. The sorority is terrible and the girls in it even worse. Its $400 to join and basically its $400 to buy friends who can wear clothes with the same symbol on their shirt as you.

Athletics: All of the main sports here such as football, and lacrosse have all had successful seasons however school spirit is not really amazing (although it is just D3 sports). However i do expect that in the upcoming years the school will go either D2 or D1 in certain sports. The gym is pretty aged and very small for the amount of students who need to use it but the fields and stadium are very new and very nice.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The school treats students like they are still in high school and their events are normally worse than a middle school dance. The party life is really pretty terrible unless a sports team has a party most people will end up at a bar of some sort or another school. If I had to go back the only reason I would still attend here would be that the nursing program is respected and successful. If I were any other major i would not even reapply.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Its easy for anyone to just walk on to campus. Car wise its safet because you must scan your stevenson id to get in.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My experience academically wise has been great! The professors care about their students and they try everything in their power to help. Class sizes are perfect in my opinion and there is a large variety.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Living on campus is very nice, as stated before the diversity is not great but its a beautiful campus. They have shuttles to take you back and forth to the other campus's and one building is only a 2-3 minute walk for the dorms.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I am honestly not sure.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I was on the dance team for my first semester and I did not really enjoy it. The spirit for football games were high but not so for basketball games.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The teachers are very caring and helpful! I feel like they want me to succeed. I am transferring, diversity wise this school is not the one for me but overall its great academically.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I just trasnferred here this spring. I like the students and the staff for the most part. Residence life and all of the res life directors are extremely helpful. For that reason I ended up getting a job position as DA. What makes this school unique is the overall vibe of the campus and everyone in it. If you have a good sense of who you are as a person and what kind of carrer goals you want to work towards than this could be the school for you. It is not a large nor tiny campus. The school puts on alot of events for students to go to every week. I would choose this school again if i could do it all over because I finnaly feel like I belong and fit in here at this university.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Campus safety and security is top priority on campus. The security team will send out emails regarding any issues that arise. Campus security has also been improved when they implemented text, email, and school computer alerts. This will alert students and staff to any activity that require immediate attention.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Course quality is good. Professors are friendly and attentive. Class size is average. Some classes are large and some are small. It depends on the time of the class. Professors have a variety of styles to teach students.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Career services is always reaching out to students to make sure students are prepared for the workforce. Career services also has a different business come in weekly to greet students and provide a brief overview of what can be offered at their company. Refreshments are provided! Career services also offers resume review services as well as weekly emails detailing some job opportunities that are available around the community.

Campus Housing: I have never been a resident at Stevenson but I have been in the dorms and have determined that the housing is not too bad. Rooms are fairly spacious and the buildings are fairly new and clean. The main reason I have not been a resident is because the cost is too much when adding onto the already expensive tuition. My friends seem to enjoy living on campus and I wish I could've gotten the money to be able to stay on campus for a semester or two.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Stevenson has a variety of sports teams. Most of the sports teams have been increasingly successful over the past few years. Stevenson does not have great school spirit but it is not bad either. Stevenson does have a Marching Band that is involved in a variety of events during the fall semester and a newly founded Pep Band for the spring semester.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Stevenson University is a pretty good school. Most of the professors are very knowledgeable on what they are teaching and are engaging in the classroom. Stevenson offers are nice variety of clubs and organizations that you can join. There are also a lot of events that are planned for students with various interests. The various departments at Stevenson have a goal to make you the most prepared person to enter the professional workforce.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There is always a security presence on campus and they are easily accessible to report problems and have the means to look into and take care of any issues you may be having.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Small classes, understanding professors, and a supportive atmosphere has made my experience fantastic.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The career architecture pathway helps to set students up with internships and possible jobs by the time that the graduate.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: There are a few qualms with living on campus, general issues that anywhere may have. Despite these issues, I definitely love the atmosphere and organization of the on-campus housing.

Stevenson University offers students a great experience, both academically and personally. However cliché it may sound, the school really is like a big family. The teachers develop close bonds with their students that just cannot be found at other schools. Even though the school is growing in leaps and bounds, the closeness of the school will never be gone because the administration actually cares about students' futures. There is a good reason this school is the most up-and-coming University in the state of Maryland: the people are great.

Stevenson University offers students an opportunity to grow. However, it is important to note that the University gives students back only what the students put in. It is possible to attend Stevenson University, do "just enough" to graduate, and get a job. It is possible to try "just enough," and just be another student in a desk. However, students like this usually drop out in the first year. Why? This University is designed for people who want to push themselves and help push each other to succeed. "Just enough" isn't good enough for most who attend here. Students join societies and clubs, stand up for their beliefs and passions, dedicate their time to learning outside of the classroom, and earn the University the reputation it proudly holds today.
