Off-Campus Housing: Near OM campus is a bit interesting to get off-campus housing.

4 College Senior

Administration: It is strict enough to control the level of professionalism.

4 College Senior

Party Scene: It is not too wild which is great.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: I'm still waiting for the process.

2 College Senior

Campus Food: The food do not look fresh even salad and the people are mean sometimes.

Athletics: It is great! It is available for many levels of athletics. It makes it enjoyable to

Play a sport at many levels of ability.

4 College Student

Scholarships: We started the application process right away.

I would recommend that as an important detail.

We are still trying to get the rest of the financial aid,

But are hoping all comes in!

Party Scene: The party scene at my school is quite fun!

Everyone loves to hang and chill out together.

Music, dancing, food! It's a blast!

Campus Food: I love the variety and food choices! Great for on the

Go or time to chill.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I wouldn't exactly know much about off-campus housing because I live on-campus and only have one friend who lives off campus.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: If you have a car, you can get to different food venues. If not, you're limited to things within walking distance. However, Chik-Fil A doesn't accept flex, and that would be so beneficial.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The drinking restriction is relatively good. Drug use policies are alright. I just don't think security guards are very useful after eight o'clock in buildings, but maybe it's because I've never had a real issue that required security. However, they are very friendly people.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The only thing I could ask for is higher scholarships that cover the costs of housing, as well as the cost of classes. Stevenson does do a pretty good job at giving merit-based scholarships, but a full-ride scholarship opportunity would really be nice. Also, SU Need based grants are a nice buffer as well.

Party Scene: Stevenson is a small school, so, if you want to party, you definitely have to go off campus to do so. However, on campus events make up for the lack of a party scene.

Campus Food: Rockland

-Some nights are better than others. Usually, they have okay food, like mashed potatoes, sandwiches, pizza, etc., etc.

Pandini's

-Pandini's is a hit or miss. Usually, one can't go wrong with pasta, pizza, or a labretti; however, chicken tenders are a gamble. There have been a few instances where one of my friends or I have received an undercooked order of chicken.

Mustang Corral

-Honestly, there are days when I take the shuttle to Greenspring just to eat here.

Meal Plan/Flex:

Freshmen should be able to pick meal plans besides A because it's the most expensive one. Personally, more flex is a little more useful than extra meal swipes. Also, if Chick-fil A ever decided to accept flex, it would be a gift.

Campus Housing: We have our own bathrooms, as well as only four people per suite (2 bedrooms). We're also able to control the temperatures. Because the freshman buildings are within a few yards of each other, we're able to easily able to interact with each other, but some people have a tendency to only hang out in their buildings. The B room is small, but, if you know how to save space, it's not so bad. The only real issue with housing is not being able to better pick roommates. They had us fill out surveys with preferences on how we liked to keep our rooms, but they did nothing to match us by personality, which was slightly problematic in the begining.

Overall Experience: The teachers are amazing! They are incredibly kind and know a lot. The class sizes don't get bigger than 20 students, which is great because you actually get to know your teachers.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: One of things that I really liked about my school is that for my major I am required to do an intern and a practicum before I graduate. Stevenson has an incredibly high percent of getting jobs right out of college.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Campus is right next to some of the best resteraunts in the area. I love eating at Don Pablos and it is right down the road.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Get good grades. Stevenson University gives big scholarships for good GPA scores. It pushes the students to do better.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I don't usually need to talk to them personally

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There's this place called Terry's and the owner is so proud to be serving local college students, he always gives us extra food at no cost!

College Sophomore

Party Scene: There aren't too many parties on campus or that I go to, except if you live on the fourth floor. Then there's a party every thursday in someone's room and that is the best. Especially during finals when I'm trying to study and I can hear them on different floors and different sides of the building.

Off-Campus Housing: The housing areas depend since it's so close to Baltimore, so it varies.

Stevenson University offers students a great experience, both academically and personally. However cliché it may sound, the school really is like a big family. The teachers develop close bonds with their students that just cannot be found at other schools. Even though the school is growing in leaps and bounds, the closeness of the school will never be gone because the administration actually cares about students' futures. There is a good reason this school is the most up-and-coming University in the state of Maryland: the people are great.

Stevenson University offers students an opportunity to grow. However, it is important to note that the University gives students back only what the students put in. It is possible to attend Stevenson University, do "just enough" to graduate, and get a job. It is possible to try "just enough," and just be another student in a desk. However, students like this usually drop out in the first year. Why? This University is designed for people who want to push themselves and help push each other to succeed. "Just enough" isn't good enough for most who attend here. Students join societies and clubs, stand up for their beliefs and passions, dedicate their time to learning outside of the classroom, and earn the University the reputation it proudly holds today.
