Health & Safety: I think the college is safe but things still happen.

Overall Experience: I think the college need to update some more career services.

Campus Housing: I didn't live in the on housing apartments for students.

Greek Life: I think Greek life is okay.

Athletics: Everybody at the school is very supportive of the athletics team at the school.

Overall Experience: You really have to be prepared and study really hard the teachers give you what you earn. I had one class I liked because the teacher actually cared and wasn't just their for their paycheck.I think more teachers should be like caring and understanding with students. Yes I would choose a different school if i could do it all again I just don't think it is that much support with the staff and teachers.

Campus Housing: Great proximity to your classes, and such an exciting atmosphere to be a part of.

Greek Life: There is a large "Greek Life" presence on campus, and in the community. They are extremely involved and all seem like wonderful people who are great representatives for our school.

Athletics: The all around love for every single sport, and club, on this campus is heartwarming. Everything is equal and everyone is happy to support their fellow Lumberjacks!

Academics: The classes are usually small which is great! Professors are understanding and are willing to help when they notice you really want the help. The campus offers free tutors and tutoring groups in the library, plenty of resources available.

Diversity: Everyone on campus is very accepting with sexuality, religious, political beliefs, backgrounds, etc... Nothing gets in between with friendships.

Drug Safety: Entering college as a non-drinker, I never peer pressured to drink. Going to parties, I was offered alcohol but everyone respected my response and understood why I did not drink alcohol. Not ever was I forced to drink or called names or judged for not drinking.

Overall Experience: I absolutely love my professors at this school; they are open to questions and suggestions. Dr. Brown is a great example of this, he would hear his students out if they had any questions over the class discussion. I do however wish that they had a broader science course selection; I wanted to take zoology, but they didn't have that course there. The class sizes are not too big nor too small. They're a great size for students to ask questions without having the professor run out of time due to the amount of questions that students in a classroom may have. A professor looking at a classroom is able to detect his students individually by name versus looking at his classroom as a number of students. The professor makes a connection with his students, so that they may feel free to go up to them for any help.

Health & Safety: I feel safe for the most part around campus. I remember I would come back from the rec late at night by myself sometimes, and I would carry my maze with me around campus in case I was assaulted by someone. I would always tell myself if I felt threatened by someone I would run towards one of the blue light safety polls that they have spread throughout campus, and I would just hit that button to call for help. I also appreciated having cops stroll in their cop cars around campus incase something were to happen they could easily pull over. However I do feel like there should be some more safety polls around the library where Surfing Steve is in case someone were to be out and about at night when no one is around that area is surrounded by buildings, and there is a possibility no one could notice an unfortunate situation. I appreciate how our campus has the Driving Jacks organization; I feel safe off campus in the streets late at night knowing that there less of a chance that I will get into an accident with a drunk driver.

Campus Housing: Some of the dorms there are very old, and you can tell that they need to do some remolding to them. They have some new buildings like Lumberjack Landing, but it is not fair to have really nice dorms, and then have rotting old dorms. They at least need to fix up the old dorms. Hall 14 and Hall 16 had some disgusting mold growing in the showers, which could cause a student to get sick. the air vents needed to be swapped out with new ones, and the paint jobs in the dorm rooms were not done well. The paint they had painted in the dorm rooms peeled off very easy. The windows were filled with green mold as well on the outside, so that if one wanted to look outside they couldn't; I personally cleaned it myself since I wanted a nice view outside my window. However there was always an activity for students to participate. Many of those activities consisted of give-aways and socializing with others in that dorm residence.

Greek Life: Greek life is often influenced for students to rush. However not all Greek life is nice, some can come off snobby and therefore portrays a bad influence on that certain Greek life.

Athletics: Almost everything revolves around athletics at SFA. During football season freshmen are given axe handles to decorate, so that they may cheer with them throughout the football games. Rain or shine you will see crowds dressed in purple attending football games. During basketball season students are convinced to go to basketball games to show their support by receiving Cane's promotions, "buy one meal, receive another for free."

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: One of my favorite experiences at SFA is having all the freshman run through the football field with the football players. You're just a little freshman that actually feels apart of the campus within those five minutes. Our axe handles are a pretty unique symbol to our school; it shows how much school spirit our small campus has as we hit our axe's on the football stands cheering our football players out on the field. I would choose this school all over again if I could, it's so liberating to be surrounded by so many people that love to bleed purple.

Athletics: a lot of support from everyone

Overall Experience: Professors were always excited to teach which made me excited to learn. If i was having trouble in a class, the professor would do their best to help me and offer their office hours to some tutoring hours. The classes are medium sized and never too large, sometimes even small which is great.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I know a lot of alumni who became very successful in their careers. The career center is always offering their best help to those who ask and give many helpful tips to succeed. They will go far and beyond to look for internships/job for us.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Not once have I ever been scared of walking outside at night or too worried about someone approaching me. I always make sure someone is with me when I go out for late errands, just to be on the safe side. There is never a dark sport on campus, so we can always see everything.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Although some may be far away from the campus itself, not all residence halls are bad. The dorms are bit small but are manageable, and enough space for storage. The newer buildings are great and an awesome place to live in but the prices are ridiculous! It was very easy to settle down because the social atmosphere was great.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I cannot quite say anything about greek life because I was not very involved or around them a lot. I did notice they do a lot of community service hours and seem to be genuinely nice people. The study a whole lot and seem to be always on top of their studies.
