Overall Experience: Everyone at SFA, especially the staff, is very friendly. I've met so many great professors. The people in Honors in particular are supportive and helpful.

Campus Housing: Living on campus was an extraordinary experience

Campus Food: Cafeteria usually has the same general options everyday. The other on-campus choices can get expensive and fattening.

Campus Housing: Kerr Hall would be the best option for females. Steen hall is disgusting, which is why it is an all freshman dorm. Although Kerr is farther away from the heart of the school, it is a much better option for incoming freshman than Steen Hall.

Off-Campus Housing: I have never lived off campus but there are many around the campus that are easily within walking distance. The ones I have visited seem really nice and I would live there if I could.

Party Scene: Sometimes the parties are great, and sometimes they're really lame. The first party I went to there was one place to get drinks and it ran out right when they refilled it, while it could have still been fun, everyone was cramped in a tiny space and there were like only 2 people who were completely wasted and everyone just kind of watched them with second hand embarrassment. The other parties I've been to though have been very fun and the last one of the year I went to had really awesome music which was really surprising. It felt like a party you would see on a TV show about college, it was awesome.

Off-Campus Dining: You will probably find that one place you and your friends like and go there all the time. Be it fast food or a restaurant, there are just enough options for everyone to find something. Jalapeno tree is one of the many favorites, and sonic is usually packed during happy hour. Newks is also very good.

Administration: The administration does a really good job at keeping the campus and students safe. When a rowdy group was yelling at students that they were going to hell they resolved the situation pretty quickly. If you miss too many classes you can automatically fail depending on how lenient the professor is with taking attendance in the first place. It seems like people get parking tickets for everything but I've heard the tickets are only $10 so who really cares.

Scholarships: I never really had a problem with financial aid at SFA. They work very well with you to make sure you have everything you need to continue attending the school.

Campus Food: When you first start eating cafeteria food it seems awesome. A buffet? Great! You can eat whatever you want and everything is delicious!

But then you realize everything actually tastes pretty much the same and when you gamble and try some new thing it will turn out to be gross and you will just want to eat cereal or a waffle. My friends and I have gotten sick from the food sometimes, and another friend of ours got a chicken sandwich that was entirely pink once. It's a real gamble on what's good or not, so sometime you'll just end up going to Chik Fil a or Which wich, which are closed on the weekends, when we starve. The hours of the cafeterias on the weekends are ridiculous.

Campus Housing: I have stayed in one hall so far, Kerr Hall, and I had the worst experience. The people who stayed there were very loud and obnoxious, my CA didn't really do anything. The only way to get something done was to email the hall director. I accidentally forgot my shower caddy in the showers overnight and when I returned to retrieve it all of my things were stolen out of the caddy. Very trashy. The other dorms can be very nice, I've visited many friends in village, landing, hall 16, griffith, and they all seem very nice and decent. I would not advice staying in Kerr but other than that the halls are very nice and clean, and good to live in.

Off-Campus Housing: I haven't lived off campus so i cant say too much but ive seen the selections and theyre relatively close to campus. Ive also visited some of my friends who live off campus and they have nice apartments.

5 College Freshman

Party Scene: SFA has the absolute best parties. The weekend starts on Thursday so theres always something going on whether its a kickback or a full blown party scene. Whoever is hosting the party always does a great job at promoting and making sure everyone on campus wants to go. SFA parties are always a great way to end your week.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: The restaurants off campus are the same restaurants you'd find at home. There are tons of fast food restaurants and a few dine in restaurants. The cost is pretty average, same as any other fast food joint. They are really close to campus so you dont have to worry about driving a far distance. If any student discounts were available i didnt know about them. The best thing is when the basketball team scored 60 points and we got free Canes.

4 College Freshman

Administration: I think the strict policies are to keep us safe and make sure we dont get hurt or hurt the people around us. I think administration also respects us as adults and they aren't super hard on us for little things.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The only reason I had any issue with financial aid is because i switched schools.Once i got everything settled with SFA, i didnt have any issues. I would recommend that you do financial aid early. And always pay attention to your ebill
