Greek Life: For Panhellenic greek is easy to get into, but for Non-Panhellenic is difficult and secretive

Off-Campus Housing: There is a lot of apartments in Nacogdoches that you can choose from. The cons of being off campus is when you want to have friends over the police always come and shut it down

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Usually house parties always get shut down. But parties at venues and frat houses are the best ones

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Compared to the cafeteria food off-campus dining is heaven!

3 College Freshman

Administration: The campus is kind of a free spirit.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Dealing with financial aid isn't a big deal for me cause I don't get much money from financial aid

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: The cafeteria food isn't that good. I rather eat noodles in my dorm than to walk to the Student Center to know I'm not going eat the food they have.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The best dorm are the most expensive ones which can be hard for some people to enjoy their experience because they cant afford the good dorms ad have to live in the average dorms like Hall 20 and Griffith. I think they should build some more dorms so we can have more options to choose from because there isn't that many, and there isn't a happy/medium.

Off-Campus Housing: There are several off-campus housing complexes to choose from, and they all have their pros and cons.

Off-Campus Dining: When the cafeteria food gets boring, or you want to try something different for a change, there are several locations to dine off-campus with friends.

Administration: The school is very strict in areas that would put students in danger or risk them from successfully completing school.

Campus Food: The campus food is good on some days, and not so good on others. It's nice to have, because you do not have to cook or clean up after yourself. There are a variety of different foods to choose from that range from healthy to fattening. The dessert bar is always full of different treats to choose from.

Campus Housing: Living on campus provides college students with the full on college experience. Looking into different dorms before deciding on where you would like to spend a year living in is important to remember. I would not take back the experience I had living in a dorm for anything.

Off-Campus Housing: There a few places that are pretty good, I hear that university woods is a good place to check out. Also the grove is nice as well. I'm living on campus and haven't had to look at off campus options yet so I can't give you a good feedback on them. But from what I hear those two places are pretty decent to live at plus they're reasonably close to campus and parking is good.

Party Scene: I wasn't much of a partier, but I was getting into it. Basically the flats throw the best parties. Most of the parties can become pricey to get in unless you know someone or your tits are busting out of your shirt. Everyone parties, it's college, you're expected to party alittle bit. I think that they help us students forget about the stress of the school week and help us relax. I know for me personally a glass of wine here and there throughout the week helps me de-stress and calm down when things get hectic. I'm not your typical party student if you can't tell haha! But I will firmly stand behind the fact that partying is an outlet that the students use. It's also good for socializing.

Off-Campus Dining: What really is upsetting about off campus dining is that almost everything closes at 10 pm. It's an extreme inconvenience because college students stay up late and are hungry so we basically go hungry (not really but that's what it feels like). All of the fast food places are pretty reasonable with prices but the restaurants are a bit priced for a college town. I've not found any places that have student discounts...do those even exist? As for variety, I hope you really like Taco Bell mcdonalds and whataburger. Those three are the main chains that get visited at night from students. There are other typical fast food chains there that are alright. Chicken express and sonic are my personal favorites. Also I love that there's an IHOP but I really really wish we had a Waffle House, that would be perfection.

Administration: They're strict in some places and not so strict in others. One thing they're super duper strict on is parking. It's like they're parking nazis to be honest, it's insane. Also in freshman dorms they're super strict on having members of the opposite sex in your room after visiting hours, which sucks honestly. Because why would you get so upset about something that is going to happen anyways. Also with alcohol and drugs they're super strict. I know back in the day students could walk around with alcohol and be super casual with it but now things are so strict about it's crazy. I understand it's important for the students to maintain a clean record for publicity reasons. But let's be honest, everyone will drink/do drugs if they want to.

Scholarships: Basically get everything in order and don't let yourself fall into academic probation because you'll lose all your scholarships and that's a terrible thing let me tell you. There are a few people in the financial office that are nice and want to help you. However a majority of them seem like they're tired of their job and they don't wanna help you at all. My advice is that you stay in good academic standing and keep your ducks in a row because it'll be easier for you in the long run. Also apply for everything that you possible can, the more money the better.

Campus Food: I was sick from eating the cafeteria food. Not only that but I lost weight, around 15 pounds to be exact. It's just plan old food that's not very exciting and is he same all the time and that can truly get boring and take a toll on your tummy. If it wasn't for the Starbucks, panda, and chick fils on campus I would have probably starved. I bought more food from the grocery store and from fast food places than I ate at the cafeteria. I was very unhappy with being forced to have a meal plan. I don't think that people should be made to have them. I understand it's importance but not every student is irresponsible. I would have been healthier if I was able to buy food on my own and able to cook it in my room instead of a not so amazing kitchen.

Campus Housing: The dorm I lived in my first year was actually sorta bad, it was hall 14. I didn't care to live in a building to where I had to share a microwave with 100 other people not to mention that fact that I had ants EVERYWHERE in my room, it was truly insane. Moving in and out was a bit hectic and there's only one staircase so you have to fight people to get up and down when you're moving in and out. My advice is that if you have to opportunity to getting into landing your first year do it. They're a lot better rooms. But the problem with landing is that they are strict with if you mess up the room. Basically try to get into the newer dorms your first year because they are easier to move in and out and you'll be happier living in a more comfortable place. Because in hall 14 you share a bathroom with all the girls in the hall and a tiny kitchen with the whole building. On the other hand hall 14 does have a good social atmosphere, which is nice if you're into it. I wasn't much of the lets go hang out in the lobby, BUT, there's always people down hot here playing ping pong and talking and watching tv.

Off-Campus Housing: I have heard people talking so I am not one hundred percent sure how the off-campus housing is; however I have heard some people say that the apartments are really good.

College Sophomore

Party Scene: I have never been to a party at SFA. I focus on my family and my homework.
