Weather: Stanford has the best weather ever!!! Where else do you see people studying outside or playing beach volleyball in the middle of February?

Weather: The weather is usually sunny with the exception of winters, which are often rainy. Mornings tend to be cooler and followed by warm afternoons (typically around 60 to 70 degrees) and chilly evenings.

Weather: The weather is absolutely amazing for most of fall and all of spring quarter. Sun shining, zero humidity, 75 and clear days all the time. There are a few cold and rainy weeks at the end of fall quarter and through winter quarter, but even the few rainy days will be largely surrounded by stunningly beautiful blue skies. Some of my favorite memories are beach volleyball and tanning in between homework out on the January

Weather: It's warm and sunny 95% of the time. When it rains, people freak out. It's kind of funny actually.

Students give Stanford overwhelmingly positive marks for weather. With the exception of winter, it is pretty much always sunny on campus, in the perfectly comfortable 60- to 75-degree range. While winters can be rainy, they vary from year to year. Summers can actually get pretty hot, even if humidity is always reasonably low. It may get cold at night, but it’s nothing compared to the weather in the Northeast. In general, the weather is great. The only time you will see snow is when your dorm takes a ski trip to Tahoe.

Maybe it’s the weather, or maybe the prevailing California attitude, but be prepared to dress pretty light and informally throughout your time at Stanford. Expect to see shorts, T-shirts, and flip-flops for a large majority of the school year.
