My overall experience at St. Petersburg College Tarpon Springs Campus is excellent. The professors truly care about their students success and well-being and are always there to lend a helping hand if needed. The tutors are phenomenal and incredibly understanding. If someone is a bit lost or unsure of something just know that the Learning Support Commons is always there for your needs! One of my favorite experiences at this school is joining the Sustainability Club and being club secretary for 2 years; another memorable experience would be working as secretary for The Hellenic Society back in Spring term of 2016... The Hellenic Society is a club that encourages students who are interested in Greek culture, traditions, and getting involved in the community with activities, special on-campus events and presentations. It is opened to anyone who wants to join, not just students of Greek descent or origin.

One of the most memorable journeys throughout my years at St. Petersburg College Tarpon Springs Campus has to be the study abroad Greece 2016 program. Students and faculty traveled on a 2-week journey throughout the island of Kalymnos and the city-state/capital of Greece. Athens. I

Overall, SPC is a great place to be able to engage in college activities. There is the Student Government Association and various clubs on each campus to help you be involved in campus life while teaching leadership skills. Most of the staff is very friendly, but some parts can be frustrating. If you find a great advisor, stick with them because they will really help you. The online classes get overbearing for a undergraduate degree. Not to many undergraduate classes in person. It makes it hard to connect with the professors. The value for the education in bachelor's degrees in emerging fields is phonomenal! This is a perfect school if you are coming back to college from the work force. Before you declare your major, the advisor can point you in the direction to talk to the heads of the departments you may be interested. This way you can ask questions and decide on which track you would like to pursue.

As a purely online student at St. Petersburg College, I have come to discover that all of my previous woes concerning being an online student were tackled well before I applied. The professors genuinely care about your experience as an online student and make your experience very personable. They encourage you to get to know your classmates and make classroom discussions an important aspect to your learning experience.

The faculty at St. Petersburg college work with you every step of the way, whether it's through admissions, financial aid, or even campus security. They genuinely care about the health and welfare of their students (Their physical campus is now smoke-free, which is great for people who have Reactive Airway Disease, like myself!), and they go the extra mile to guarantee comfort and reasonable accommodation for their students.
