Overall Experience: Class size is the ideal size for the instructor to get to know students on an individual level.

3 College Senior

Career Services: I have not yet experienced post-grad services at UMSL to date.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: Haven't had any bad experience with professors, I just prefer lecture classes and not so many online classes.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is fair. There are a lot of amenities that are included it the tuition that I actually take advantage of. Gym usage, metro card and news papers.

Academic Flexibility: Transferring from the SLCC-Forest Park to UMSL was seamless. Both schools have an agreement that the majority of classes are transferable between schools.

Campus Resources: The assistants in the library were extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

Academic Experience: My major is sociology. The curriculum is interesting which makes it easy to succeed. My professors go above and beyond to help make our workload bearable. They understand that their class is not the only class we attend so they try to be accommodating.

Academic Experience: Registering for class at University of Missouri-St. Louis was the easiest experience I have encountered. Entering as a freshman in 1991 and then transferring to UMSL in 2014 from SLCC-Forest Park was as different as night and day.

Student Body: There is a student in my Philosophy of Religion class that is also in the Air Force Reserves. His commitment to his country and dedication to his education is inspirational.

Campus Resources: STLCC at Florissant Valley has everything you need to succeed and more. If you don't have a computer at home, there are many computer centers throughout the campus. If you don't want to play sports but just want to stay in shape, take Fitness Center as a PE class and get access to a great gym. There are a ton of clubs and activities and the Campus Life office can help you out with just about anything.

Career Services: There is an office dedicated to career counseling in the student center. They helped me to do an interest inventory as well as to find jobs to work while finishing my degree. The most helpful thing for getting a job in my field though was the practicums that were part of my degree requirements.

Tuition & Financial Aid: My tuition was, I believe, the lowest in the State of Missouri. Yet, the quality of the education was outstanding in my eyes. Financial aid was stressful at times, but the key is to start filling out forms as soon as possible to avoid the rush.

Online Courses: The online courses that I took were gen. ed. requirements like Human Growth and Development or Art Appreciation. I wasn't sure what to expect from them at first, but after taking a couple, I learned very quickly that they were a great way to earn credits if you didn't have a flexible schedule. They were challenging; however, you could work at your own pace and the professors were usually only an email away.

Academic Flexibility: Professors generally work with you if you have something come up in your life that disrupts your school work. Not only that but they don't try and make you feel bad about it. they are genuinely there to help you.

Academic Flexibility: The flexibility there is excellent. There are wide ranges of times for classes; such as morning, afternoon and evening.

Overall Experience: I overall experience with school is great. I'm glad I picked this school as my first option, instead of any other community college or universities.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The professor are very good and professional. Also friendly as well and willing to help you.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: The online course I took there was decent and different for me personally. The teacher had good communication and answered any questions the teacher had.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: The student body is pretty diverse and outgoing. There are a lot of people there are willingly to help you and give advice on different classes and personal opinions as well.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The cost per credit is good and affordable compare to other universities.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The student center is pretty helpful and good. The library is resourceful and can find almost anything your looking. I'm not really familiar with the athletic center of the school.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: They are willing to give you options to where you can transfer your credits to.

Student Body: In this area I can say location has a great part to play in the student body because we have a great mix of cultures, ethics, and genders. Everyone has a different background which I like to believe helps the student body get along so well with eachother; learn different backgrounds.

Campus Resources: So far I've attended for a semester but I can say that the student center is pretty helpful. There are a good variety of campus activities to get into. Library is resourceful and librarians are helpful. You don't hear too much about our athletic teams though. So the athletic center is lacking on reaching out to students for support.
