Off-Campus Housing: My school offers university run, off-campus housing, but students looking for non-affiliated housing are on their own. Depending on how many people plan to live together, and how far they're willing to travel, availability varies. However, most people are able to find a place if they are serious. Often, finding non-affiliated housing is much cheaper than school housing, and most students are content with their decision.

Transportation: The only school-provided transportation at St. John's University is the shuttle bus that goes from school to train stations and the Manhattan campus. The schedule is convenient for students to use.

Party Scene: I am not involved in the nightlife but there is very limited places that the students go to. Underage nightlife is very present and most people take taxis for transportaion.

Greek Life: I am not sure how the Greek life is at our school because I am not part of it but I know them as "party" people. They throw parties every week and I believe that that is the only purpose they have as a fraternity or a sorority.

Health & Safety: The public safety of St. John's is average. The officers are not very present after their daily vertical checks on dormitories. I also have never been to the health office but I heard from my friends that it is pretty average.

Scholarships: The financial aid process was good at St. John's University. The office workers helped me to go through paper works and made sure that I received all the aid that I qualified for, which is all i needed.

Majors: The doctor of pharmacy program is one of the best pharmacy programs nationwide. I enjoy taking pharmacy related classes because the curriculum is set for all the students for 6 years and it is very well made curriculum that has been successful for many years.

Majors: I do not have an internship, however, I have many friends who are involved around the campus area with retail pharmacy and clinical pharmacy internships.

Technology: St. John's offers 3 computer labs and $40.0 every semester for printing/copying. There is Wireless network connection in every facilities on campus and the speed is fairly good. Only downside would be the number of computer labs. I sometimes find myself waiting for a open computer.

Campus Quality: The student life on campus is average compared to other colleges. 70% of the students at St. John's are commuters, therefore the student life on campus is not too great.

Campus Quality: St. John's offers the unique 0-6 doctor of pharmacy program and 5-year physician assistant program. Also, the law school at St. John's is highly ranked among other law schools in the United States.

Academics: The doctor of phamacy (6-year) program at St. John's University is known as one of the best pharmacy programs in United States. It is unique in a way that it is a 0-6 program, which means that once one maintains a certain GPA, there is no need to take PCAT to move on to the professional studeis.

Academics: The academics overall is fairly average at St. John's University. Little over a half of the professors are decent and helpful. The curriculum is fairly good overall except the core classes are highly catholic based.

Campus Housing: My favorite thing about the campus is the housing. We have full apartments.

Technology: It doesn't matter whether or not you have a computer because the school gives you a free laptop when you enroll. There are also dozens of computers to use on campus.

Weather: If the weather isn't nice, no one comes out and campus is dead. When the weather is nice, the campus is very lively.

Greek Life: I am a part of greek life, but it is so prominent on campus, that it turns many people off to the idea.

Health & Safety: Public safety is pretty clueless.

Parking: I go to the Staten Island campus, a car is pretty necessary. I do not pay for the parking passes, but you can usually park on the streets.

Overall Experience: Overall sju is only great if you make it great. The opportunities for a real college experience are there you just have to take them! I highly recommend greek life or any other student organization as these are the best ways to get involved and make life long friendships

St. John’s has its ups and downs, but most students agree, sometimes reluctantly, that the bad outweighs the good. Some argue that with the high tuition cost, students should receive better student services and facilities. The school’s motto is, “We are St. John’s,” but does the administration listen when students speak? The school needs more dorm rooms, better computers, and more people ready to help students instead of giving them the runaround or transferring their calls to someone else. These things are not luxuries, but rather necessities to keep the students and the institution running smoothly.

Going to St. John’s is a good experience, and the name only seems to impress many people, which is a good trademark to use in the workforce. The overwhelming majority of teachers cares about its students. Check out St. John’s extensively before attending to see if it can meet your needs, especially monetary-wise. In 1870, when St. John’s was founded by the Vincentian community, it was supposed to be an answer for the poor students who couldn’t afford schooling; now many feel SJU is making the students poor. The costs are going up each year, but the financial aid is basically staying the same, making it hard for students to attend because of the lack of funding. Explore it for yourself. There’s plenty to enjoy and benefit from, but don’t get caught up in hype.
