Online Courses: I took my Psych-101 class with Dr. Carr online and she was amazing. We regularly had to answer questions that were basically scenarios, which put us into real-life critical thinking. This helped me realize I hated being in the nursing program and wanted to focus on writing. I transferred out and I couldn't be happier, but I mean that in the absolute best way to Dr. Carr.

Academic Experience: My degree now is an education transfer for secondary education. It's affordable, and all of my credits can be transferred to the other school, because they have already a contract or agreement to accept students from STCC.

Online Courses: I loved taking online courses, it made it a lot easier to work and go to school. The only thing I didn't like was not being in a classroom where I can talk to the professor right then and there.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I have not gone through the post-grad process yet so I can not thoroughly answer this question.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I have personally had a pretty good experience with my courses and professors. I use there help as much as I need and they have no problem assisting me in my journey. Even professors from past semesters keep in touch and make sure that I am doing well. The classes in the program are generally smaller which gives the professors and students more space to work with everyone's learning style. Springfield Technical Community College offers very well taught courses, the courses promote our thinking by interacting with each other and the professors on an open for conversation principle. We test in smaller increments thought the semester and it makes it easier to retain knowledge. We are also provided with many studying resources and resources for job opportunities and credential opportunities.

Overall Experience: Springfield Technical Community College is well connected to the community and to the city. It is important to get my degree from STCC because it will assist me in the later transferring process with its connections to the colleges in the state.

Academic Experience: The best thing about being an education major is that you are shaping the future by educating the youth of today. I work in the field now and a lot of the information I learn in school I apply to my skills at work. The program at STCC is making me a better child care provider.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The professors really work with you to make sure you're keeping up with the class and do what they can to help keep your grades up.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The program gives us the best knowledge and great places to practice my skills. The paperwork is sometimes overwhelming because we need to finish a lot of forms. Facilities are friendly and helpful. I heard people saying that if you were really good at what you were doing, then you could apply for a job after graduation at any of the clinical sites you've worked at.

Overall Experience: My school Nursing program gives us the best chance to actually study and practice at the clinical site as much as we possibly can. I love to study here, the professors are helpful and encouraging all the time, they are willing to answer all of our questions when we need their help. Other staffs are friendly and helpful.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: It is 5 minutes from my job and 10-15 minutes from my home. Unfortunately I was unable to transfer any of my credits from the medical assisting program due to false advertisement by my previous school. Which was a bummer.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: The teachers are always there to help if you get lost or have a question. Tech support answered my questions the best they could when I had technical difficulties. I ended up going to the career center and they helped correct the issues. So overall the online courses have been good.

Career Services: I really don't know from personal experience but there have been many students who have told me they landed their career jobs from information they received from the career center and from their internship.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The professors I have had the pleasure of learning from have been wonderful.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I get many emails from different career opportunities, as well as, emails regarding tutors, food assistance, tax services, guest speaker in my field, and more.

Academic Experience: The only thing that will be hard is when I get into the nursing program it's 2 years during the day. They do not have night classes or even a mid day class. It would beneficial to me financially if they offered a mid day or night RN program.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: So far my experience at STCC has been a great experience. They have online and night classes which makes it easier for me to attend. All the professors go over the syllabus in detail. There are no surprises. They are available to answer questions and give assistance if needed. I really like it so far.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Several students are directionless or low-achieving

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: STCC is truly a gem in our community. Coming from a small, wealthy town, I love the outgoing nature of most of my classmates. I am someone who succeeds as a big fish in a small pond, so the average enrollment of my classes (around 8-20 each) is perfect. If I could do my general studies associate's degree again, I would absolutely choose STCC. The professors truly care about my success and my next steps. Students don't try to outdo each other; we share notes, making sure we all succeed together.
