Career Services: I haven't had too much contact with this area of the school, but I have never heard anything bad about it either. Everyone I have talked to says they are very helpful and eager to see you put SCC's education in the workforce.

Overall Experience: My experience at this community college was far better than I expected. Most people convey community colleges as torture, but so far I have had a great experience. I love my classes and instructors and the styles in which they run. I feel extremely comfortable here and I believe that is the key to succeeding in college.

Student Body: The school is very diverse, as I have found it somewhat difficult to find people with similar interests as me. The student body is very ethnically diverse. Many people come from very different, diverse backgrounds. Everyone is very nice and friendly and respectable of each other.

Campus Resources: SCC is a very small campus, but the library at the central campus is excellent. I wish they had longer hours on the weekends, but I find myself studying in the library everyday. It is very nice and the perfect place to study. The campus has many activities, none of which I have ever attended, but have received many emails.

Tuition & Financial Aid: My academic scholarships completely cover my tuition, but even if they did not, I still believe the price of tuition would be ideal for the value of education at SCC. The financial aid office is extremely informal and helpful when transferring and enrolling in the college.

Academic Flexibility: My school experience has been ideal. I registered extremely late for classes since I transferred from another technical college. Despite how late I registered, I was still able to enroll in every class that I needed and at the exact times that I wanted. My schedule is exactly what I need it to be and I couldn't be happier with my schedule. My credits easily transferred and it was no hassle at all on SCC's end.

Academic Experience: I believe Spartanburg Community College is a great local community college. Each staff member is friendly and ready to help students. The resources and buildings are the nicest in comparison to other community colleges. It's very well laid out and convenient. I am currently taking transfer courses so I can transfer to Clemson in the fall, so my workload is very diverse but well balanced. The curriculum is very well taught by all of my professors and they are always happy to help me.

Academic Experience: The curriculum is very straight forward and understandable. The teachers are always understanding and eager to help you when you are unsure of the material. The class registration process was extremely simple and there were many classes, class times, and campuses I could choose from that would best fit my schedule. Each professor I have is extremely dedicated to my success in the class as they give me multiple resources I can use to supplement my learning. My workload is right where it should be, and I have never felt overwhelmed.

Academic Experience: Wish there was more options locally with extra help. And is a bit time consuming.

Campus Resources: Got everything I needed to get done finished and they were very helpful.

Student Body: I don't really pay attention to things socially. Just trying to make it through the year.

College Freshman

Career Services: Since SCC is only a community college, a 2 year college, then they do not offer post-grad services.

Online Courses: SCC's online courses are great. The professors are there via email or even skype to help you when you need it during their office hours. An online course is not the same as a original class, but it better when you have a busy home life and do not have the time do go to campus and go to class. Where a class on campus is better because you have the teacher there in front of you teaching, an online class can be just as successful if you put the dedicated time in to study.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: when picking your classes its very convient to work with you work schedule and things like that..

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: its been a wonderful experience. the professors are always there to assist you and help you with any questions you may have. The courses can sometimes be a little tricky but it all works out having professors help anyway they can.

Student Body: The campus i attend only has Two buildings. Theres not many clubs or anything like that at our campus so the students usually come and do what they have to do for whichever class they are in and leave. im sure its a lot better at the main campus.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: the campus is really small. until more buildings get built and it grows a little te resources will be limited.

Campus Resources: I've never had a problem with this. The library and student center is very approachable. Th aesthetics could be better but it is a community college so I don't expect any more than what it is.

Online Courses: I didn't have any problems with my on-line classes. I enjoyed each of them and they helped me become a better student because I had to manage my time and study better.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Most of the classes are available at any time, I have even taken a Saturday class. But once you get into a program the schedule is set and there is no wiggle room to take a class at another time. I knew this but some students are not aware of this.

Academic Experience: I haven't entered into the nursing program yet but so far it seems that the process is very structured and organized.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: SCC offers the TLC (the learning center) in which you can go to study alone or get help from tutors if you don't understand something. The biology professors are the best so far for me; they genuinely want to see you succeed and will help you any way they can.

Student Body: Some of the students are fresh out of high school but most of the students are non-traditional and are there to learn and complete the class with a good grade. I like this better than a typical 4 year college because it can be distracting to try and learn with younger students in the classroom.
