3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The teachers are pretty understandable and are willing to help you out.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: only because of the culinary school that is on campus and that is what i am majoring in

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Overall the whole experience has been great, but I just expected more from a small town.

1 College Senior

Online Courses: very hard to follow the understanding and teachings of the online math course.

3 College Senior

Student Body: It is a lot like a full on high school drama constantly. no one has respect for anyone. There are a few students who are nice and are always willing to say hello to strangers. I guess i expected more from a community college.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: My tuition pays for all my school recipe books and tools that i will use in the kitchen including knives, spoons, tips, etc. The housing portion of my tuition is expensive for what i am getting.

3 College Senior

Career Services: I don't have a career center at my school. My Advisor is always willing to help you if you have questions about where to go for your externship.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am a bread and pastry major at Oregon Coast Culinary School. I love the chefs who teach, they are always willing to stick around longer to help if you need it. The workload is just the right amount of pressure to learn real life experience.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The chefs are always nice and easy to talk to whenever you need them.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: My campus can be very unorganized with the R.A.s and housing directors. the classes are the perfect amount of challenging.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Good school to go to while you are still figuring things out.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Manageable classes, down to earth professors, small classes.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Online classes were pretty straightforward.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: I live off campus so I don't haven't gotten a real feel for SWOCC's student body as a whole, but most people a really friendly and accepting.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Tutoring center, library, gym, good. Campus activities not always well advertised, they should work on that. Staff really want to see you succeed, and are there to help, fairly accommodating and understanding.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: At SWOCC, class sizes are really small. Ranging from about 8-15 people, it is pretty tight knit and focused. All the professors I've experienced have been really awesome and devoted to helping their students succeed.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: With such a limited amount of classes, I wish SWOCC would just attempt to space them better, allowing students to take classes without having to worry about overlapping.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: In high school I took a lot of online courses, but nothing compares to the one at SWOCC. I was really not looking forward to my online class, but I actually really enjoy it. I feel like I am learning a lot and there is a real teacher behind the screen.

3 College Junior

Student Body: I have found personally that I don't really fit in with most of the students. I commute from half hour away and most of the students live in the town nearest the campus. Other than that, there are a lot of older students at SWOCC. I think the vast majority of students attend SWOCC are also headed towards a nursing degree, which I have no interest towards.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: For the classes I have taken, they are really great, Registration is pretty simple and straight forward because of the small classes. I have had several problems with classes getting dropped last minute for multiple reasons. My one big complaint is that since the Curry Campus offers such limited classes, I wish they would not cram them into such small time periods because it is hard for a student to get all the classes without overlapping.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Since I graduated high school with above a 3.75 GPA, SWOCC awarded me with 2 years of free tuition. This program is incredible. Lucky for me, I also had several other scholarships to cover cost of fees, textbooks and other supplies. I have never had any issues with finical aid either.

2 College Junior

Campus Resources: I attend the extension of Southwestern Community College at its Curry location. The Curry location is relatively new and very nice, but it is a very small campus. There are no athletic centers, libraries, etc. It does have one large common area, which is nice. Although the science labs are very nice as well, they are very empty, lacking equipment.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: My school offers a lot of internship programs.

5 College Sophomore

Online Courses: So far i have taken 3 online courses and they allow me to do the work at my own rate.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: i personally like the student body, it feels almost like my old high schools student body. making me feel comfortable.
