Diversity: While there is some diversity amongst students, there is much less reflected in the scope of instructors.

Academics: Instructors are generally informative, compassionate and take the group of students into consideration. The school is soley a graduate program for Art Therapy and Counseling so courses are limited to that area.

Off-Campus Dining: Wide variety of places near campus, but prices are higher as with everything else in Santa Fe

5 College Sophomore

Administration: The administration is open and friendly. School administers double as professors, therefore students interact with them on a regular basis.

College Sophomore

Health & Safety: As students do not live on campus, there are no concerns related to campus crime. Students attend classes during the day and then the school is empty.

5 College Sophomore

Local Area: Santa Fe is a charming and historic little city in New Mexico with lots of restaurants, art galleries, museums, and culture. It is a unique and beautiful place to be.

College Sophomore

Party Scene: The school is just a graduate school with only classrooms and a library. There aren't many social events on campus. Socializing occurs off campus on students' own time.

College Sophomore

Campus Food: There is only one vending machine on campus. You have to bring your own food to school.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The school is very well connected to organizations in the area and the job market in the country. There are a lot of resources to help students find jobs after college.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I am very happy with my decision to attend Southwestern College. I have only attended one quarter, but I am eager to begin the next and continue my experience.

College Sophomore

Athletics: There are no athletic teams at my school. It is just a grauduate school.

Scholarships: It takes some time to connect with the financial aid office, because it is a on-person show, but I was able to get the information I needed.

Scholarships: Specific information about financial aid is not readily available and accessible for students. The process gets done eventually, but unless you already know what you are doing, it can be a struggle. Also, if you have loans that will need to be deferred, check with your loan providers for what you need to do. I was given the impression that, by both online with my provider and with the financial aid dept., that the school communicates with my loan provider when I am enrolled for classes. However, because I did not take out loans my first year, nothing was communicated to my provider. Just be well informed on your own to know what to do with financial aid.

Guys & Girls: The school is approximately 90% female. I suppose for the guys it might be nice.

5 Recent Alumnus

Majors: This is solely a graduate program for art therapy and counseling. I love that I can earn a dual degree is a relatively short amount of time. The also offer a number of certificate programs that have recently been revamped to be less time consuming, cheaper, and more easily accessible.

Overall Experience: Overall, many of the classes and instructors are great. I have learned a lot about myself along with some practical counseling/art skill (though there could be more clinical skills taught, perhaps they come later in the program) There is a good amount of work that needs to be done on the administration side (I.e. Better providing students with access to necessary information). Also, more cultural competency needs, in my opinion, to be taught across all classes. Overall, you get out what you put into in. If you plan on working in a clinical setting, you may want to take some outside classes to feel confident with those skills, but if you are more spiritually inclined, you will find a lot of like thinkers.

Recent Alumnus

Campus Housing: There is no on campus housing. All housing mist be sought off campus. The do offer an email with housing opportunities frequently.

4 Recent Alumnus

Local Area: There is a great mix of things, particularly for the art invlined, however, it can be a very small town.

3 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: There are a variety of apartments, essentiality you get what you pay for. There are some low income housing available but of you and your roommates are all full time students you won't be able to get those. A good choose may be to look for a house with roommates for more space.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: There are no Greek fraternities and sororities on this graduate school campus.

College Junior

Administration: I am a brand new student so I don't really know yet

College Junior

Athletics: This school is just about these two graduate programs athletics are not a thing.

College Junior

Campus Food: I have just started this program and have not had a chance to try the food.

College Junior

Greek Life: This graduate program also does not have greek life, there are graduated greeks but no programs in graduate school.

College Junior

Campus Housing: For this campus there is not on campus housing as it is purely graduate students.
