Off-Campus Dining

College Student

Off-Campus Dining: When I start school in the fall, I will be living on-campus.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I think it's better than the school food, I'll tell you that much. Even if it is chains mostly, but we also have restaurants that are just here locally. There is a vast price range of food when it comes to if you want something fancy or something everyday. There are also a lot of ethnic restaurants around which is good considering the school lacks that in the dining halls.

1 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: If you are coming from a large city (like Chicago) the food in Carbondale is the WORST. If you like Taco Bell and Burger King, you might survive. BUT, if you like to try different food local to Carbondale, expect the restaurant to stay in business for 3 months, max. There are hidden gems, if you have a means of transportation. Murphysboro is solid.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty of places to eat, not all are chain restaurants and many are walking distance from campus.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There is a lot to choose from, but every other place is a pizza place
