Southern Arkansas University is a fast-growing public University in Arkansas, but she is far from perfect. The student-faculty ratio is good, our professors are great! but there's no transportation system around, one needs a personal car to live well here. Campus food is nice but can be crappy sometimes, oh, athletics ! I like all sports activities going on here!

though there isnt much to do in the town, there is a lot of time to get to know each other and become very close and travel together. i love the family vibe with everyone.

I will be honest with you - Southern Arkansas University is in a very small city where several places close at 9PM and the "most fun activity" is walking around Wal-Mart, but the campus experience is worth it. I'll make a short list in bullet point format so it is quick to read: * We are the only school with the mascot of a Mulerider which makes us unique. * Since we are further south many people have southern hospitality and are very friendly. Of course you'll run into some people you truly do not like or get along with, but the majority of everyone is very friendly. * The dorms truly are not that bad. I lived in Honors North my first year and it was lovely. The only downside to it was that our shower would clog very easily, but it was a simple fix. * We are a community. We come together in several events throughout the year and I love it.
