Overall Experience: I love the school! Sometimes the departments can get your papers mixed up, but it gets sorted out in the end!

Overall Experience: I think that each professor ive had cares about their students except that a lot of them believe that only their class work is important. ive had meetings with professors where they have made it clear that they believe that their work is the most important.

Overall Experience: im not entirely sure. everyone that has this degree has gone on to go to higher education.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: campus police is there for us and the housing people are great.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: They could add a hell of a lot more amenities, but it could be worse. i wish they had movie theaters or even better late night food options. the dorms arent horrible, but could be better. i wish they had better aquatic options, and better extra curricular options all around. not being able to do anything on a friday night freaking sucks.

Greek Life: I love greek life! I am part of a social and a service organization. Greek life brings much more life to the campus than you think. putting on more and more events every semester. no greek housing is available which really sucks

3 College Junior

Athletics: Well theyre very competitive. we almost beat a team that we lost to after 20 years.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: though there isnt much to do in the town, there is a lot of time to get to know each other and become very close and travel together. i love the family vibe with everyone.

Overall Experience: Overall, I love Southern Arkansas University. In the beginning it took me awhile to get use to the small town, but you get to know people.

The courses are challenging, but not difficult. There are some brilliant and helpful professors, especially in the business department. I have had a few professors that were not understanding or did not do their job correctly, but that was a minimum.

Class sizes are fairly small which is good because you get to speak to the professor more which helps you learn a bit more.

Overall Experience: SAU offers a few career days where local businesses will come to the campus and present themselves, but it is not widely attended. Since we are in a small town with a growing college community finding jobs can sometimes be difficult.

Health & Safety: As a victim of sexual assault, I feel decently safe on campus. The campus has emergency phones located throughout the campus and if you do not feel safe you can contact campus police and they will escort you to your destination.

I do think that our school could do better though. We could have more meetings about it, a club or event for victims to gather together so they know they are not alone, and easier access to reporting these crimes. I know colleges hate to report these crimes because it shows in reports and statistics, but I believe it is something important that needs to be taken into consideration.

Campus Housing: As I mentioned, I lived in Honors North during my first year. That dorm has suite-styled rooms so they are a little bit bigger and have their own bathroom.

I have visited other dorms, however, and most of them are set up with bathrooms for the whole floor to share and are fairly small. Some rooms are made of brick on the inside which is neat, but it makes it dark overall. Honors North and U-Hall are honestly the dorms you would probably want to try to get into.

Greek Life: I am not in the Greek life at my school, so I guess you could consider me a non-Greek. As a non-Greek, I have not heard much bashing towards those who participate in Greek life, but we do talk good about those people.

I have friends that are in Greek life and they love it - some of my friends have even said that Greek has changed their life. College can be a bit lonely, so I am sure that joining these groups helps a lot with that.

We do not have Greek housing on our campus unfortunately, but you still get to pick which dorm you would like to live in and many of the sisters or brothers in Greek life normally choose the same dorm.

Athletics: I honestly did not get to attend many of the games this past year because I worked at a local radio station and had to put my boss (who voiced the games on-air) on and off of the radio. I heard the games though and we did really well. Our team works as a team and it shows.

I can tell you for a fact that the athletic facilities are lovely though. I attended a hip-hop exercise dance class in the gym and it was always clean. The equipment is nice and it is well air-conditioned.

Overall Experience: I will be honest with you - Southern Arkansas University is in a very small city where several places close at 9PM and the "most fun activity" is walking around Wal-Mart, but the campus experience is worth it. I'll make a short list in bullet point format so it is quick to read:

* We are the only school with the mascot of a Mulerider which makes us unique.

* Since we are further south many people have southern hospitality and are very friendly. Of course you'll run into some

people you truly do not like or get along with, but the majority of everyone is very friendly.

* The dorms truly are not that bad. I lived in Honors North my first year and it was lovely. The only downside to it was that

our shower would clog very easily, but it was a simple fix.

* We are a community. We come together in several events throughout the year and I love it.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I very much enjoy this school and am happy to be a mulerider.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I haven't had a lot of opportunities with my field to branch out.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I feel very safe and comfortable on campus since day one.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I very much like my building, where it is located and the quality of people and the building itself.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I am not involved with Greek life at all but it seems okay.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: They are okay on campus, I don't participate in this part of school very much.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I did not think I would enjoy Southern Arkansas University as much as I have, but it is absolutely wonderful!

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Campus security is one of the prinary things that the school promotes.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Professors are well-eduacated and enthusiastic in the fields they teach, and they are generally very interested in their students' overall success.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The value of a degree from this school ranks alongside the much larger University of Arkansas's reach.
