College Senior

Overall Experience: Let me graduate. I'm sure I'll have some great stories then.

Academic Flexibility: If you miss class or are late its a real hassle. They are strict on their attendance policy. It always scares me I'm going to be a minute late and get kicked out.

Overall Experience: Classes are small and humble. We can focus a little more on the harder stuff that way.

Student Body: Everyone is so supportive to one another. They are constantly encouraging each other. Its a really great learning environment.

College Senior

Online Courses: I don't have any online courses

Career Services: They are super helpful and have lots of connections. One of the best parts of my education is the career training.

Academic Experience: Its all around my program. Its an eight month program and there is a lot to pack in. Instructor Young is awesome. I adore her.

Academic Experience: Its all Allied Health related programs. Theres only four. The students are primarily female, but its a comfortable, homey, friendly environment. Theres a lot of one on one.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Money is always scary for me. I thought the tuition was high until I realized my class had FOUR students in it. I had to take our student loans to cover what my pell grant wouldn't but its an 8 month program. Can't beat it.

Campus Resources: We have a media center with everything from tablets to laptops to kindles and a library. They are fixing to turn into one giant area and knock the wall between it dont. We don't have an athletic center as the school is primarily allied health. Its a small building but I love it. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Its their norm. Not a face they put on to bring in students. I love the VP of the school. He really loves working with students.

Online Courses: I've had some online classes and its very different you'll mainly on your own in online classes and you don't have a teacher or hands on teaching to learn what your doing. Traditional teaching is slot better then online for sure and the tecshers here are great they make sure there students get what they teach.

Overall Experience: Has Changed My Life Completely – I am a whole new person now. I have changed so much in just the two months I have been here, I couldn't be happier. I found a rewarding career, and have been opened up to so many new experiences and people. My lifestyle has completely changed for the better. I was very ignorant of my posture and habits that were going to lead to much bigger problems down the road, but an instructor analyzed me one day and changed all of that around. I am very grateful I had the chance to come here.

Academic Experience: An Excellent Variety of Experiences – You will love coming to school here for massage therapy. Every day is a new adventure, a new interest aspect to learn. There are so many different modalities in massage, and the program tries to expose you to all of them. From guest speakers to demonstrations, there is endless improvement in this field. There is ALWAYS something to learn, and not a day will go by where you don't think you've learned something worthwhile. The pace is excellent, you only learn one section of anatomy at a time instead of having all different angles thrown at you at once. One month is skin and bone, one month is nervous system, etc. If you have the passion you will find a way through this course and be successful in this field.

Career Services: Financial Blessing – I am very appreciative and greatfull for the financial assistance that I have received. It has helped me with most of my Medical Billing and Coding Books that I needed to progress my knowledge. Southeastern Institute-Charlotte, NC Financial Aid Department allows you the option of allowing you to pay everyone that is owed while in school and after graduating or allowing the school to pay loans off for you to the entities owed at the time of enrollment. The only thing that I wish that the school would do differently is, to give the students the option of allowing the funds that are not used through Pell Grant is to pay off your In-house fees/balance owed for books first, instead of allowing remaining amount to stay until enrolled in another class. I feel they should give money to student to use for remaining loans as needed.
