Overall Experience: School has been great, although it can sometimes be stressful and difficult to manage at sometimes with extracurricular activities going on, I always seem to maintain excellent grades.

Overall Experience: Southeast Missouri State is a great school. I love the location and affordability. Most of the teachers are good, but the bigger the classes are the worse. The dorms are okay depending on where you stay. There's one that overlooks the entire campus that you can see far away. There's another that is located right next to the football field where you can see the games from your window, and there's a new one that was just recently built for Dance and Theater majors right next to the Mississippi River.

Overall Experience: I visited the campus a few days ago and I like it a lot. I feel as though it is a good fit for me. Also I am in need for more financial aid in order to attend the school f my choice

Overall Experience: The University of Missouri-St. Louis was not what I expected. If you are wanting to go to a larger school where you do not have to see someone you know every time you walk outside then I suggest you do not go here.

Overall Experience: SEMO is a great place to be. It's not too big and it's not too small. The community, students, and faculty give off great vibes. Everything about this school is unique. My first day of freshman year I was scared and nervous being away from home but everyone was so nice and helpful. I really love it there.

Administration: At Southeast Missouri State University, they are strict about alcohol and drug use anywhere on campus, especially in the dorms. They conduct monthly residence hall checks, and make sure that the consequences for having drugs or alcohol on campus is well known.

Campus Housing: Living on campus at Southeast Missouri State University is great. The campus is small, and the dining choices are plentiful, therefore making it easy to use your meal plan, no matter where you are. There is even a Starbucks on campus that we can use our meal plans at, too. That is very popular with a lot of students. Another things that makes Southeast a great place to live on campus, is the dining choices in the dormitories themselves. There are a couple of places, Merick Hall, and Towers, that have restaurants in the lobby of the dorm. This makes it very easy for students to come downstairs to get food and then go back upstairs and return to their studies.

However, there is a downfall to living on campus, and that is only being able to use your meal plan between certain hours of the day. There are dining options open late into the evening, but after 8 PM we can't use our meal plans to get food. Being a theatre student and working productions until all hours of the night, and then coming back to my room hungry because I can't use my meal plan is disappointing. This is, however, my only major critique to living on campus at Southeast Missouri State University.

Party Scene: I have no idea. I don't go to parties, but I am always hearing about parties being held at greek houses.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are many places just off-campus for students to eat at any time of the day. A lot of them are even within walking distance of campus, therefore making it easy for students to order food and then walk and pick it up at any hour of the day.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Overall, the dining choices on campus are good, but once you eat them so many times in a semester, you eventually get burned out on these choices. If there was more variety in the choices, then I would give the food a better rating.

Scholarships: Any time we try to contact financial aid, there is a very long wait period over the phone, and when you finally do get to speak with a representative, they may or may not be able to help you. The only sure fire way to get your problem solved is to physically go to the financial aid office located in Academic Hall.

Athletics: I haven't seen much, but I was pretty impressed by what I've seen, considering the size of Cape.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: It's a small city, and people freak out for anything. However, if you come from a big city, the proximity and apparent lack of security devices might feel overwhelming at first.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: I've been to two parties so far, and they were great. Not a lot of fuss and great prices.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Food is not great, but it's not bad either. It all tastes like food by an OK grandma.

5 College Freshman

Administration: I haven't had any problems so far, but then again, I'm one of the good guys, I guess.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: As an international student, there aren't many opportunities. They don't seem to want to help.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: There are a lot of tasty options, but not a lot of healthy options.

Campus Housing: SEMO has the best value for housing out of all of the colleges I looked at. The housing is of average quality, but the price is amazing.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I have no experience first hand with off campus housing, so I don't have any input.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are quite a few restaurants in Cape that are not too expensive or too far away. There's also quite a few that give student discounts. A lot of restaurants here stay open late, so that's also a convenience.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Underage alcohol use is hardly ever punished. At least, as far as I've seen. I know several students who keep alcohol in their rooms and who get drunk every weekend. I think that Greek parties should be more closely monitored.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Receiving financial aid is a pretty smooth process if you have good grades and a decent ACT score in high school. I would apply early and stay on top of things to make sure that everything gets submitted by the deadlines.

2 College Freshman

Party Scene: There are parties every weekend put on by the Greek organizations. The amount of alcohol at those parties is astounding. This definitely has a negative impact on the student experience. Underage college students are able to drink as much as they want, which is causing harm to their health. Also, they could endanger themselves while being under the influence.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Towers dining hall is either a hit or a miss. It's either really good or very questionable. Subway is always a good choice but it's a farther walk. The UC is always good but it's far away and it's hard to eat healthy there. Rowdy's is good but there are limited choices and it gets tiring after awhile. The best places to use flex dollars is at Rowdy's and at the UC.
