South Texas College has an exceptional staff who are willing to work with the students without hesitation. I have found that many actually love their jobs especially the professors. And because of their passion, as a student, I am honored to be attending in a place where I have never felt belittled by anyone there. They have plenty of faith in their students, they remain optimistic and share that optimism with the students. What more can you ask from a school! My goal after I begin my career is to start a scholarship fund for music students. I have grown so much while attending STC & my intentions are to share that growth and remember where much of my motivation came. It came from professors who never quit on me, especially those times I felt like quitting. Even though i am struggling financially to pay for my fall classes, I will not stop fighting to graduate because STC has honestly helped me look at my future differently with perseverance and determination.

My favorite experience was my first day at South Texas College. I was a Junior in High School and my high school paid for all of my expenses since I joined the Dual Enrollment Medical Science Academy. There were a lot of people trying to find their way to class. It was scary but very exciting. My favorite professor was Dr. Villalon. She teaches Biology. She made the class very fun and interesting. We had many fun labs and a mini project. She was always happy and nice to all of the students. Another great professor was Dr. Armstrong, he teaches psychology. I would say his class was the best of all! Learning about how the mind worked was very fascinating. Aside from what I mentioned I did have some courses that were challenging. I struggled with Chemistry but I still managed to pass. I am now even taking Organic Chemistry and it is also challenging for me, but I am trying to keep up and do my best.

Well, I haven't seen the school completely, because in my case, I am freshman, but obviously is amazing if not I wouldn't have chosen it!

It is a big campus, has everything. Student center, lab center, library, the campus activities are great to everyone at the college, like having a Halloween costume party and other activities depending on the season, also the college gym with this I think the school goes to another level.

And for the last, the faculty it is really good, they treat you like you deserve, like the person you are, not just like another student. So, South Texas College, my almost new college its a really amazing college.
