5 College Junior

Academic Experience: For my major as being a Nurse, South Mountain Community College would help me find classes that I would need to take and classes that I would take to transfer to a four year University. Being my major is going to be a challenge, however to get started with my career it's worth the challenge.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: My major is easy to follow

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am majoring in Elementary Education and due to my major I will be able to attend NAU without having to leave home. I will be part of the extended campuses program with Nau. I had been a great advantage to be at South Mountain Community College. I am currently taking a lot of Educational courses regarding the teaching methods of working with ELL students, intro to education and the cultural diversity in a classroom. All the professors taking care of the educational courses are amazing people, always willing to help.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Having a specific major at my school helps me develop relationship that are going through the same path. I am majoring in Education. Knowing that I will become a teacher helps me plan and encourage me to push through all obstacles and get that bachelors degree. Internship hours have already been required and I will say that it has been an eye opening and helpful for the future.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: In my Bio 182 we scheduled out of class field-trips to visit the laboratories at both Tempe and Downtown ASU campuses. There we got our feet wet in the life style of majoring in science and the many opportunities out there. I found this exceptionally interesting because the course was designed to feel mature. The professors maintained professional guidelines that simulated an immersion into work lifestyle.
