I have been attending South Mountain Community College ever since I was a sophomore in high school due to a scholarship I received called 'ACE'. Now that I have graduated from high school and still kept on attending South Mountain, things have been great! I received the presidential scholarship at South and this has helped me through my financial struggles. I love the small classes and the one on one communication with the teachers and the fact that they are so flexible and helpful for every student. Of course, I have many struggles such as trying to pass all my science classes this semester.

I have loved my experience at SMCC! Coming from a large high school being viewed only as a number, I have loved the atmosphere at SMCC and all of the faculty. being the first in my family to attend college I found faculty very helpful and encouraging throughout this process. Many of them invest so much in their students and truly care about their success and are willing to help you accomplish your dreams. I am so grateful for this campus where I have found faculty that inspire and encourage me to succeed and make my community proud in whatever I decide to pursue since they have chosen to believe in me .

I enjoyed my time at SMCC, and I liked the classes I took. I had been taking classes at SMCC that would eventually lead me into the classes I would need to take at UofA for the Pharmacy Program and obtaining a Bachelors Degree. So that meant that many of the classes I took were science courses. The Science professors were amazing! They understood what they were teaching, which confided me that I was actually learning. But, these classes mandated study time outside of class which sometimes became a burden especially if I didn't know the material. But the experience was a good one, and I got my Associates from it!
