I am majoring in Elementary Education and due to my major I will be able to attend NAU without having to leave home. I will be part of the extended campuses program with Nau. I had been a great advantage to be at South Mountain Community College. I am currently taking a lot of Educational courses regarding the teaching methods of working with ELL students, intro to education and the cultural diversity in a classroom. All the professors taking care of the educational courses are amazing people, always willing to help.

My experience here at South Mountain is really amazing. The teachers and staff are really enthusiastic and they really love to help you whatever you are having difficulty with. In the writing Center, there are people who are here to help you on your essay and they will check if there are any missed grammars, or if you are using the appropriate sentence structure. The class size are good as well because there isn't a lot nor a few students there. Approximately, there are maybe 25 students in each class. There are a variety of courses that they are offering especially if you want to become a nurse somewhere in the future.

I have loved my experience at SMCC! Coming from a large high school being viewed only as a number, I have loved the atmosphere at SMCC and all of the faculty. being the first in my family to attend college I found faculty very helpful and encouraging throughout this process. Many of them invest so much in their students and truly care about their success and are willing to help you accomplish your dreams. I am so grateful for this campus where I have found faculty that inspire and encourage me to succeed and make my community proud in whatever I decide to pursue since they have chosen to believe in me .
