Came here as a 3rd year transfer from a JC and I absolutely love it!I live on campus and the on campus housing is SO SO nice, I was blown away! I'm not from this part of California so I was nervous it'd be an uncomfortable transition but everything has been so smooth. It was super easy to find a job on campus that works with my school schedule. You definitely have to stay on the ball and keep track of what courses you're gonna need to take because classes and adviser appointments are very competitive . There's plenty of on-campus events and opportunities to get involved . There's tons of clubs and diverse organizations so it's safe to say there is really a place for everyone. No reason why anyone shouldn't feel welcome or at home here. Go seawolves!

From the moment I stepped on campus, I felt at home. Sonoma State has a very welcoming environment and everyone at this school is very nice and supportive of one another. There are so many opportunities to get involved on campus from participating in village council to playing sports and joining clubs-there is something for everyone! The campus is absolutely beautiful! It is just the right size and it's easy to find where everything is. Sonoma State is an amazing college and I am so glad I made the decision to come here!

I will tell you, along with any other Sonoma State student that has lived in dorms, on campus housing is THE BEST. When my friend came to visit me from Cal Poly SLO, she could't help but rave about how beautiful and big the campus housing was. Freshman year you are offered campus housing with a roommate or a single room, with a kitchen or without a kitchen. The most amour of people you will share a bathroom with is four, there are no community bathrooms at SSU. There are many options available to choose from and all are good choices. Upper-class-men housing is even better! The dorms (or should I say apartment like town houses) are brand new with partially wood flooring, a kitchen, living room, three or more bathrooms, and four or more bedrooms. Next year I will be living in a four person apartment style dorm housing with four rooms, four bathrooms, a kitchen, living room and semi heated floors. Housing is close to the main part of campus and it will take you ten minutes max to walk from your room to class. These isn't one bad thing I have to say about campus housing.

Because the housing is such high in demand, rooms do fill up quickly so it is important to take a tour and see which living style you want to live in and coordinate who you want to live with ahead of time. It is also pretty expensive so make sure you look into price options as well.
