Online Courses: While taking online classes, my workload has been pretty big, but you have the flexibility of scheduling your own class times. You have to be diligent with getting your class work done on time. There isn't a whole lot of peer-to-peer interaction within an online class, but when there is it's through a discussion board like a forum.

Career Services: I am not aware of what kind of post-grad services are available at my college at the moment.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The courses are challenging and the teachers are helpful and most are good at teaching their classes in a way that helps students to understand.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: There are certain events that the college has like job fairs and such that help students to get acquainted with companies in the community that are hiring and looking for interns. The reason I rated this as Okay is that I'm not aware of an actual service at the college that helps students find jobs or internships, because I don't think I've been given any such information since I've been enrolled there.

Academic Experience: The major I have in school is the Computer and Information Technology major. The thing about this major is that there are a lot of classes that need to be taken and this is only a 2 year program for an Associates Degree. The workload can get quite hectic, but the teachers are always willing to work with you on trying to make sure you have plenty of time to get your work done and turned in on time.

Overall Experience: Somerset Community College has been a fun and rewarding college to attend. The teachers are all really nice and approachable. They help you in any way that they can, and they really want to make sure that you understand things when you feel like you're confused or having trouble. I would definitely choose this school all over again just for the friendliness of the people who work here.

Overall Experience: The individual assistance from the school's entire staff was overwhelmingly welcoming. The Veteran's group at the school is very informative and willing to work with Veteran's disabilities. Engaging with the Veteran's, the staff and the students have been most pleasing. The school being small, gives the students an ability to interact with everyone on a personal level, allowing them to learn not only from professors but also each other. I personally enjoy the small town atmosphere and would not change anything. I thank God for all he makes possible and I thank you for this opportunity.

3 College Student

Overall Experience: Half of the teachers I've had so far would do anything to help the advancement of students. If a student was having issues learning particular subject material, they were more than willing to restate it or work with the student(s). The other half seem to be there only during class time and never during their office hours, and are unwilling to help the student. One instructor in particular almost acts as if it's a bad thing for a student to ask a question during class, and often ignores hands. Later, students may email him those questions and get to response in return.

Academic Experience: I am double majoring in Music education and history secondary education. For history, they have three classes I can take to advance toward my major: HIS 108, 109 and Kentucky history. However for music, they offer one music class: MUS 100, which doesn't even count toward my major.

Career Services: I personally do not have experience with the graduation services however my cousin and some friends mentioned its almost like jumping through hoops to fill out the paperwork. After the paperwork is filed and paid for, they seem to make it fairly easy to graduate.

Online Courses: There is hardly any peer-to-peer interaction and very little professor/student interaction. In fact, while this college is based in Kentucky they have at least one teacher based out of Texas, he is a full-time instructor for a university in Texas and teaches this class in his spare time. This results in no relationship between the teacher and his SCC students.

Academic Flexibility: While I was able to fit my schedule around my daily life, much of this included classes I did not want. Primarily including online classes. I was forced to take half of my classes this semester online because they didn't offer classes that I needed face to face. This is unfair to the student and should be changed.

3 College Student

Overall Experience: Classes are focused primarily online for flexibility of students schedules. However with this, a degree from this college is becoming less and less prestigious, because students have the ability to cheat throughout much of their curriculums and not learn anything. Because of this they choose to allow students to have the option to graduate without any experience with classmates or even know much about their career field because they could have googled their degree basically.

Academic Flexibility: Classes are offered at all times of the day to accommodate parents, jobs, etc.

Online Courses: The online courses work well for me. The programs used are simple and help me understand the material.

Career Services: They often have events to help students understand transfer options and how they will work with other colleges and universities.

Overall Experience: All professors have been amazing. They know their material well, and do a great job teaching it to others.

Academic Experience: Curriculum is great and stays to the point. Workload is all about how much you take on that semester.

Academic Flexibility: I have never had any issues. I have attended a couple classes on campus. It is all about getting registered for them. You get friendly reminders of when that specific registration week begins. It is first come first served on all classes, so never procrastinate on getting registered for your semester classes. All of your classes are important and getting in early you will get first pick on what classes will fit your specifically.

Online Courses: I have enjoyed my online experience while attending college!!!

A question is never a silly question and never feel out of place to ask for help. I have a professor's to offer face to face appointments during certain time frames if a student is lost and needs help of any kind. So having support helps out a lot!

5 College Junior

Career Services: Career center is there and ready for you when you are ready.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I do all of my classes online. Discipline is the key word!!!!! I get easily distracted in a classroom setting so I am so happy that online opportunity is an option for me. If I ever run into an issue with something or issues with assignments loading. All of my professors have been very prompt on replying back when I email them. I have also had a couple of them to personally call me on my cell phone. This means a lot to me because I know that these professor's are extremely busy!

Overall Experience: The career center/services on campus is always there to help you!
