Academic Flexibility: I went to Snead after graduating high school and quit to get married. The school let me keep 60% of my previous credits which will allow me to earn my degree quicker

Overall Experience: Some of the classes are hard and you must study in order to pass. The harder the work the more I learned.

Campus Resources: Snead State is small but practical. It's basically what I would expect from a community college.

Student Body: Most people in this are have the same mindset as far as his or her career path and future goes. They are all interested in getting to graduate and get married and have a family and settle into the same town they grew up in. Which, to me, is kind of dull and slightly depressing. I couldn't imagine staying in the same place for my whole life. I want to graduate and get started in my career and travel the world and help and meet new people with my talent. There isn't too much diversity in the student body. Most students are Republican, church attending and of the same ethnicity. Living in the "bible belt" diversity isn't something that is always openly accepted.

Student Body: The student body at my school is very welcoming and warming. We have a lot of diversity among our students. Overall, I would have to say that Snead State is a great community college for any one who is not ready for a big 4 year school. The faculty is nice and they enjoy getting to know there students and helping them along the way!

Career Services: Community college in a small town. You can have an education either way.

Online Courses: Online classes are a little harder to keep up in than regular classes. You don't get to experience the same kind of relationship with your professor and you get almost no interaction with your peers at all. The workoad seems to be a little more as well.

Overall Experience: SSCC is small enough for a small town person to be comfortable but yet big enough to have the proper learning resources needed.

3 College Junior

Campus Quality: One unique thing about SSCC is the SUB, otherwise known as the Student Union Building. Pool tables, snack bars, TVs and other types of entertainment are set up along with a study area for students to get together and relax between classes.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: All sorts of resources are available to students and are explained very well from the first day of class.
