While attending Slippery Rock University, I learned more things about myself. It allowed me to discover my inner intelligences I was not yet aware of prior to attending the university. I am more determined than ever as well & strive for excellence. I also enjoy communicating often with my professors during the school year for advice on academics/extracurriculars, as well as discussing ways to improve my performance in the courses. I had to overcome many barriers while being a student at this school. The hardest one is unfortunately to afford going back on my fifth year as an undergraduate student. I only have one more year left to complete two Bachelor's of Science degrees & it would be such an amazing feeling to reach that goal. I am glad I chose to come to Slippery Rock University. If I could do it all over, I wouldn't do anything differently, I am right where I want to be. If it weren't for attending Slippery Rock, I wouldn't have identified my academic interests as well else where. I love both of my majors in Public Health & Psychology! I am so glad Slippery Rock University gave me that opportunity to pursue both fields.

The Dorms are on the newer side and are the perfect home away from home. Each room has individually controlled heating and cooling, carpeted floors, and drywall wall not cinder blocks! It makes it feel like a cozy space! Having your own bathroom in college is a blessing, you'll thank yourself for not getting a traditional dorm. The walls are paper thin though and you'll become very close to your neighbors beside, beneath, and above you since you'll hear everything they do. It's a good experience and you'll be very cozy.

Greek life is a great way to make new friends and meet new people. This coming year I have decided to rush and I am very excited about it! Many of my friends joined a sorority and love it. From the the themed parties to the sisterhood, greek life will be a great addition to my college experience. In addition, you make so many connections through greek life and it will look great on a resume. SRU's greek life isn't huge, so it isn't a big deal if you are in them, or aren't. Overall, greek life is great at SRU.
