3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It went pretty smoothly, we contacted the Financial Aid office while we were on Campus for a visit or figuring out registration and they took care of it for us and only requested that we send them the information that they needed. It's also really easy to get a financial aid voucher to use for books, all you have to do is call them and they send it over.

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: Before my senior year in high school, I didn't know what it would take to get financial aid. My best tip is to apply early as well as to apply for many scholarships.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: The financial aid department worked with me, as well as other students, one on one to come up with the financial aid required to continue education. They are always willing to help out. They even audited my fafsa so that I could get financial aid in order to go to college at all.

Scholarships: Simpson has basic scholarships that almost anyone can receive. No one pays the full tuition. But, it is still extremely expensive, and if you have a unique situation with financial troubles, you have to email a ton of people and go through many loops to gain further scholarships than just the main ones.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I'm eligible for the full Pell Grant, Iowa Tuition Grant, the Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Grant, and the government student loans. There aren't any other real scholarship and grants options for part time students. Next year I intend to go full time but I still won't be eligible for many scholarship or grant options from my school since most of them apply to students who live on campus.
