Off-Campus Housing

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I have not experienced off-campus housing, nor do many students (that are non-commute) live off campus.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There is no off-campus housing. Juniors and Seniors live in apartments provided by the school. Occasionally some older students will live off-campus, but I'm not familiar with the process.

2 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: There is hardly any off campus apartments. Everyone just lives on campus all four years. The only time people live off is over the summer.

1 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Simpson College wants everyone to live on campus, and they deny many people to live off campus. It probably could be cheaper to live off campus, but it is hard to do.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments Vs. Housing – Simpson does allow students to live off-campus, but you're not really saving any money in the long run. The apartments are close to campus, and some are relatively affordable, provided you split the rent and utilities with roommates. Unfortunately, off-campus students pay more in tuition, so even if you don't pay much in rent or utilities, you'll pretty much break even with the hike in tuition.
