4 College Junior

Party Scene: I hang out with friends off campus and its a great stress reliever.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: The cafe on King St. is great. Lost cost and near by. Also Sheetz got remodeled so they are pretty great.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Getting financial aid was okay.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I noticed some advertising in the CUB of off campus however the school doesn't really help in finding a place. Students help each other in giving opinions and then you do research your self.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: The food in Reisner is great some days and other it's bad.

The meal plan should be higher instead of $5.50 because the food in the CUB is already close to $3 and if you get something else you dip into your flex.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: The new dorms are great. However the sense of community is lacking compared to the traditional dorms.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: The dining on campus had a very wide variety with very good tasting food. The only complaint that I have was during lent there was no nonmeat options on Friday.

Off-Campus Housing: Live in the dorms freshman year and make the best of it. Then move off campus, never look back and actually enjoy your freedom.

Party Scene: Go to Richard then college park, and then bard.

Off-Campus Dining: I always ordered PizzaMan or Pizza N Stuff but the addition of Aroogas was so nice! And dont forget ordering chinese. The one place you can call when they are closed and leave a message for them to deliver you food the next day at a certain time.

Administration: Ship has a very quality administration and it shows that they actually care about their students.

Campus Food: I lived at Kriner. It is the best because all the freshman flock to Reisner so the upper classman can go into Kriner and relax and not deal with all of that. The selections are less at Kriner but I feel like the food is better for whatever reason. The one meal per period is the only setback. It may be the dumbest rule ever made.

Campus Housing: The RA's take their job way way way to serious. Other than that the dorms are all new besides a few. They are all close to your classes. Overall the dorms are some of the best I have seen but the RA's ruin everything.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: I wouldn't say the school is strict at all. The school only asks what is commonly expected of any one (throw trash in the trashcan, don't do anything illegal, etc.).

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The dining options are good on campus. They aren't very responsive to what the students want, however there is usually something to find and there are certain foods that are the best of each place. Like Reisner's mac and cheese, and Kriner's BLT pizza are each amazing and location specific.

Campus Housing: The majority of the residence halls at Shippensburg University are practically brand new, and really nice. I've lived in a traditional room as well as a suite and I loved my experience in both. The traditional hall had an amazing community between the residences and the programs were always exciting and full of people. With the suites, it is a little harder to establish that community because everyone has their own bathroom, and some have their own living rooms, so people don't really see each other as much as they did when they shared a hall bathroom and tv lounges. The RAs work really hard to ensure every resident is happy, and safe. The housing process is very easy as long as you read the emails. People tend to get frustrated and annoyed but that's when they ignore emails or instruction on how to complete the housing process.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Rec is nice, weightroom is kind of small

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Living off Campus is 10x better then on campus, plus large amount of apartments close to campus that are pretty easy and enjoyable

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Some enjoyable bars, but anything farther out the 3 blocks is too far for traveling unless you go to chambersburg or Carlisle.

4 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Usually a party, frat, or bar always has something going on so its rare you are let down on the weekend.

2 College Sophomore

Administration: Can not be around campus if intoxicated or drinking in the dorms. Can not park anywhere not allowed without expecting a ticket. cops are not social or talkative, mean even when just registering for parking permit.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: respond quickly but pass around the student to offices a lot.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Eating at the same place gets old fast, enjoy going to cub for a quick meal, do need to use a lot of flex.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Newer buildings but extremely high cost for living

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: It has many benefits such as networking, maintaining a high GPA as well as serving the community and helping out with those who are in need.
