3 College Junior

Athletics: I am not into the athletics at our school and think it is ridiculous how they are treated like royalty.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I, like many people, attend the Conservatory events more than athletics. The school is D3, so sports are not as competitive (thankfully because I hear we aren't very good) but other students do occasionally attend games and theatre tea seem pleased.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The teams arent good but we still support them

College Sophomore

Athletics: I have never been involved in any of the athletics department.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: They are good, facilities open to all

The sports programs are well respected at SU. Many students on the football and baseball teams are recruits, with one of the most popular teams being baseball. Many students attend sporting events when they are not busy with schoolwork. The times of the sporting events really help get students to the games because they are usually held at night. The basketball and football games have the most school spirit, but the intramural sports clubs are also very lively and exciting.

Most students who just want to play sports for fun and not for competitiveness sign up for intramural teams. While the intramural teams are very exciting, they can sometimes get very violent and intense. The athletic facilities are always accessible during normal work hours. They are all generally quite clean, except for the occasional days when you have sweaty towels on the floor. All in all, the main athletic department building is always full of life and energy.

School Spirit
Many students will have huge get-togethers before games, including activities like grilling. Also, many students will paint their faces and dress themselves in nothing but SU school colors.
Getting Tickets
Tickets for games are very easy to obtain. Students get free admission to all sports games and to concerts, theaters, games, and other forms of entertainment. There is never a long line because all a student has to do is flash his or her student ID in order to enter. This comes at a great advantage, so students don't have to wait in line at the ticket desk.
Best Place to Take a Walk
All of Shenandoah University's campus is a park! There are trails everywhere along with nice scenery. A good place for walks is around the big lake that features a trail. There are plenty of ducklings and paths in that area, too.
Did You Know?
The Midnight Blue Crew is a club that stimulates pride and spirit at SU sporting events.
