Academics: They don't have many majors, but the classes they have are amazing. Professors really go the extra mile to make sure you get the most out of your education if you are willing to put in the work.

Academics: The professors really care about your learning here. They take time to see your outside of class or if you miss a lecture they email you and ask what's wrong. They do everything they can to help you succeed and the classes are worthwhile.

Campus Quality: Outdoors are amazing; lots of beautiful lawns and trees, and the buildings have gorgeous exteriors, but inside the buildings are very uncomfortable, out of date, and in some cases, extremely displeasing and unpleasant.

Local Area: There's nothing. The next town over, Monteagle, has a CVS and a Piggly Wiggly. That's the biggest shopping nearby. For an idea just how isolated it is, the nearest Walmart is at least 30 minutes away in Winchester. And to get to a department store you have to go an hour away to Tullahoma to a JC Penney. There's nothing to do in Monteagle except eat fast food; the nearest movie theatre is 30 minutes away and shows 2 movies at a time and the nearest bowling alley is an hour away.

Overall Experience: It's alright. There aren't many majors and the location sucks, especially because of the sad choices for food, but the social scene is great. Many unique, accepting, and fun people and parties.

Guys & Girls: Guys on this campus are plentiful and social. Some are great, some are annoying, some are jerks, some are mediocre. It's like anywhere else.

Health & Safety: Better preventative education could be implemented but as it is the administration just tells us to "use a condom" and "make sure she says yes." We receive "timely warning emails" telling us when an assault is reported. The administration usually tries to keep things quiet; even a topical cultural anthropology class focusing on an ethnogrpahy entitled Fraternity Gang Rape" and the administration made the professor change the topic because the topic was too sensitive. However, everyone in the class continually reached out to the administration making it known that we wanted to continue with the same important topic.

Greek Life: Greek life at Sewanee is really about sister and brotherhood and is not discriminatory or exclusive. You can be friends with anyone in any greek organization despite whatever greek organization you are or are not a part of. They intermingle and GDI's can be friends with frats/srats. Hazing is really kept to a minimum and I haven't ever heard of any serious hazing that caused harm or dropping of the frat/srat. Good times and good vibes.

Athletics: It's not the most important thing about Sewanee. They are more social events than competitive sporting events. Club sports are fun too, especially rugby since they do hold the traditional drink-ups.

Off-Campus Housing: You literally have to live on campus. Off-campus housing is nonexistent.

Party Scene: Lots of parties, none are exclusive. Don't need to be Greek or affiliated with a certain frat/srat, but it helps to keep informed about where parties will be. Lots of liquor, lots of dancing, lots of beer pong. A+, just need to know where to go.

Off-Campus Dining: There are about 2 sit-down restaurants and 4 fast food chains and they all close early. It gets really old, it's unhealthy, and it's annoying.

Administration: The administration is fairly helpful in social matters, but with academic matters they fall down. There are not enough classes for all the students to have a full semester. During registration they alway end up having to expand the classes to be larger than their boasted small class sizes. They need to plan ahead better.

Scholarships: I have enough financial aid to attend Sewanee. It's good with me.

Campus Food: There are two choices on campus: the Pub and McClurg, the dining hall. McClurg closes at 8 and frequently pulls food off the buffet line before they have food to replace it with. The result is eating a lot of stale cereal instead of waiting 30 minutes for them to put out food. Also, the food isn't very good. Pub is alright, but it isn't the healthiest. It's mainly food soaked in grease meant to help sober up drunk students. They took our only other option away, The Globe Cafe. This past year it was Mexican food. They didn't replace it with anything.

Campus Housing: Some don't have air conditioning and the window screens are battered and don't keep bugs out. Good proximity to class if you're not a sophomore or junior but not a lot of space and in most cases dorms are not the cleanliest.

Campus Food: The options that aren't McClurg are great; pub, stirling's. However, McClurg can sometimes not be the best.

Campus Housing: Most dorms are great and the ones that are in slightly worse shape are being or recently have been renovated.

Off-Campus Dining: There are a few great places, but there aren't enough to provide real variety.

Administration: The administration is wonderful and there when needed.

Scholarships: Barely any options. I did not receive aid.
