Diversity: Very diverse campus. Lots of students from different ethnicity's and many foreign exchange students.

Party Scene: There are numerous parties every thursday/friday/saturday nights and its not hard to find parties during the week either. People are always down to drink. As long as you know the right people you will NEVER have an issue finding a party to go to. Anyone who says the nightlife at seton hall isnt good clearly doesnt know the right people. The best parties are at the frats, but sometimes can get crowded. As a freshman the best advice is to try to meet people to get connections early on to get into the good parties. By joining a sorority or fraternity you gain access to the best parties and most fun people on campus.

Local Area: There are so many options for food. The closeness to NYC is great so you can always take a last minute trip into the city. The town of south orange is actually really adorable.

Campus Food: There are so many options in the caf including pizza, soup, a buffet area, make your own pasta, baked goods, steam your own vegetables, specialty stations, wok it up, make your own eggs, waffle station, make your own quesadilla, a carvery, a huge salad bar, fries, hot dogs/burgers, cereal, sandwich station, and icecream. there are endless options you just have to be creative. Towards the end of the semester it gets boring so save up your piratebucks to spend on nathans, pizzeria, sandwiches, salads, the cove, dunkin and more

Off-Campus Dining: There are MANY great places to eat off campus. Personal favorites are the trat (italian/pizzeria), pandang (asian), stony's (burgers), the dinner, waffles, hot bagels(deli), titos burritos(mexican) and many more that are just a few minutes walk from campus. There are also many chain food restaurants to choose from. This food is some of the best I've had and all very reasonably priced. Fat sandwiches are students favorite late night food option that delivers crazy combinations of food in sandwiches to your dorm.

Academics: There are great professors that are always willing to help and classes are great.

Academics: Seton Hall is among the best schools for nursing majors, giving us an amazing education to be future nurses.

Overall Experience: The best decision of my life was choosing to go to seton hal. I love it here.

Weather: Typical east coast weather. We get all four seasons, so at times it can be very cold or hot.

Scholarships: The scholarships at shu cannot be compared to other schools. Seton hall gives a huge amount of money in merit scholarships to students, way more than ANY other schools.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking can at times be tough to find

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: You dont have to drink/smoke but if you want to its very easy to.

Campus Housing: Dorm rooms are slightly more spacious than at other schools. Boland is by far the best freshman dorm since most freshman live there. Its a great experience.

5 College Sophomore

Technology: Every incoming freshman gets a new high tech laptop that they keep until their junior year when they trade it in for a new laptop. The laptop are amazing, definitely a huge benefit of going to seton hall. Wireless access is great!

Health & Safety: South Orange is not known as the safest areas but as long as you dont walk towards Newark and walk in groups at night there is no reason to worry. The area surrounding campus is not as bad as many make it seem as long as your smart about it. Safety on campus is great.

Off-Campus Housing: Living off campus is MUCH cheaper than living on campus and many people decide to move off campus after their freshman/sophomore years. Housing is easy to find and usually pretty cheap.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: As a nursing major seton hall is one of the best schools I couldve chosen. The program is great with amazing classes and professors. Clinical take place in some of the best hospitals. There is a large variety of majors at shu and it is very easy to change majors if necessary. Job placement for all majors is among the highest in the country.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Nursing majors have to apply early, my advice would be to apply as early as possible, despite your major. You have a better chance of getting in and gain more scholarship consideration.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: Although underage drinking is obviously not allowed but is extremely easy to do in the dorms. As long as the noise in your room isnt too loud while you are drinking you wont get in trouble, you just cant be stupid.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Although not every person at shu is ridiculously attractive there are ALOT of extremely hot girls and many attractive guys. You will not have any issues finding girls/guys here.

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: For me joining greek life was the best decision I could've made. The sororities and fraternities at SHU are full of friendly and fun people who do tons of community service, have great sister/brotherhoods and throw great parties. If you want to go to the best parties at SHU definitely join greek life. There are 5 sororities and 5 fraternities that you can join each with their own different personalities. There is no official greek housing, although each sorority/fraternity has several of their own houses and apartments that members live in together that get based down through the years. There are countless reasons to join greek life; friendships, community service, parties, formals/semiformals, help with studying... Its something I would recommend for everyone!

Off-Campus Dining: It's not the greatest, but sometimes its a lot better than cafe food. Delivery is always a good thing.

Academics: The community is so supportive and the professors do their best to teach their students and help them advance in anyway.

Technology: The computers given this year were great but then they seemed to have a lot of problems as the year continued. Tech Services didn't do much.

Part of your education is being around people from different walks of life, and no place is better for that than Seton Hall, one of the most diverse campuses in the country. The social scene at Seton Hall is very trendy and fast-paced. The school is full of rich kids with all the money in the world to burn, and they normally burn it on clothes and bars. Seton Hall's education is good depending upon your major. Business, nursing, computer science, and diplomacy are what make Seton Hall a Tier II school. The people you meet here, and the friendships that you form, make this school a community. After an academically-tough freshman year, the only thing that kept me from transferring were the friends that I would miss. Another good reason to attend Seton Hall is its proximity to New York City, which is an endless bank of great internships, and possibly jobs. The Career Center on campus works very hard to obtain Seton Hall students positions in places like Wall Street, and as the saying about NYC goes, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

If you do come to Seton Hall, you should get involved with a group or organization. In high school, it was not cool to be in the Stock Market Club, but here, the kids who are in it might be the future millionaires, so find something you like or something that is orientated with your studies. Finally, balance your work and your play. Part of the professional world is based on people skills, and if you are cramped up in the library the whole time, chances are, you do not have the best social skills. On the other hand, if you do not know where the library is by junior year, then you need to seriously rethink the whole college thing.
