3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Don't have time to do "fun activities"

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: On line class, professor was ok ..tried to be helpful.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Too many passwords to remember; still do not have access to email; customer service when calling is horrible ..people act like your taking money out of their pay check when you call to ask about financial aid. Had to complain at least twice about over the phone attitude from some employees I try to avoid calling as much as possible because of this.

Academic Flexibility: Everything is easy and straightforward. Anyone can apply, fill out a few forms, and start registering for classes within a week. The Honors Institute is a bit trickier, but not much more so.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Peer-to-peer interaction is decent in most online courses. It is often required, depending on the subject. The workload is rarely too much. The professors are pretty readily available. I just like the ability to submit assignments without driving all the way to campus.

3 College Junior

Career Services: There are several direct-connect schools, so getting into UCF is guaranteed. Getting into another, similar school isn't difficult either. Job prospects are actually good compared to other community colleges.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I like the courses much more than the ones I took at Johns Hopkins, actually. I feel I've regained my sanity here. The professors are pretty personable and fun to talk to. There are plenty of good courses.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I think a lot of people come here either to transfer to another school after getting an A.A. or for a quick career pick-me-up. The alumni network is nearly non-existent, there aren't any recruiters I know of, the career center doesn't do much to my knowledge, but there are some interesting internship/shadow experiences.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Plenty of scholarship and internship opportunities, including cool trips to other states and countries; pretty reasonable workloads for most classes

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I really like how the classroom learning style/curriculum makes room for motivated students to go beyond the minimum requirements if they find they are passionate about the subject. I also like the discussion-based, small-class courses available for honors students.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: It's the best being a Early Childhood Education major because your professors are people who have had many years of experience in the field and have great insight.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love my psychology teacher and will take her class again. She is the reason I fell in love with psychology. Mrs. Daniels is the best.

Overall Experience: So far, my overall experience at Seminole State has been okay. Education wise, the staff are super helpful and want to see you succeed. The classes are small, so not only are you able to know your professor, but the professors take interest in their students. The administrative building is super helpful as well. There hasn't been a time that I've went and had a bad experience. However, since this is a two-year college, there aren't many students here. I know a lot of the students who live in the dorms know one another. I know everyone jokes about how Seminole State is exactly like high school.

Academic Flexibility: Your academic adviser is very helpful and wants to see you succeed and do your best. If you're having trouble with the flexibility of a class, then they will help you work something out. Previously, I couldn't take two online classes due to how much I would be needed at work, so I decided that taking these classes would not be the best option for me at that moment. So, I talked to an adviser and they helped me drop the classes. The advisers are also very great at telling you when you should take a class and which classes you should take in order to get all of your credits.

Online Courses: I tried taking two online classes during the summer, but decided to drop both classes because of work. I felt like I didn't have time to keep up with two classes and work at a highly interactive job. I would receive emails from my professor who was concerned that I was not interacting with the class like I should. I feel like the online courses are more difficult than a traditional classroom setting. You don't get that personal connection with your professor or your classmates, and you don't learn as much as you should.

Overall Experience: The professors are amazing. They all care very much about how well their students do in a class and are willing to do extra to ensure that everyone is doing a good job. The class sizes are small, so you and your professor will have the opportunity to have a personal connection. There aren't a variety of classes offered, but the school still finds a way to make up for that.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: The career center/services on campus are amazing. Everyone who works for Seminole State care very much about their jobs and treat the students with a lot of respect and are very helpful.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: The professors are great at giving out material and are very helpful if you have any questions. However, the material isn't what I expected to learn in the class.
