Academic Flexibility at Seattle Community College - Central: There aren't very many options for night classes in certain classes that are necessary for transfer degrees.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses at Seattle Community College - Central: I feel like there are a lot of courses that could be offered online that aren't, while some that are shouldn't be.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services at Seattle Community College - Central: Advisors are very helpful with figuring out a plan of action when you desire to transfer.

Overall Experience at Seattle Community College - Central: I love the location of the school, and I love that it doesn't have the blase community college feel that some schools can. I trust that the staff and faculty are taking my education as seriously as I am.

Overall Experience at Seattle Community College - North: I love the small class sizes. It's nice when professors can pick students out of the classroom by name and say hi to you when you pass them in the hallways. I can say that I've had great professors here at North, and they truly do care about every student as long as you are willing to try hard in their classes. A lot of them have had a lot of workplace experience, which is really helpful in helping you to understand how the material applies to the real world. A lot of my professors give examples in their classes regarding other disciplines, too, which helps to learn the material.

Overall Experience at Seattle Community College - North: Since North Seattle has limited Bachelor's degrees offered, it is hard to say what the job prospects are like for students pursuing a 4-year degree. What they do have are a fair amount of Associate's degrees offered, all of which are rated highly. Also, Job Fairs take place frequently on campus, and internships informational meetings and workshops pop up every so often as well. North Seattle wants to help students succeed in any way that they can, even if that means getting you ready to transfer to another school.

Academic Experience at Seattle Community College - North: North Seattle college often tailors their curriculum to the University of Washington's depending on the class, so it is fast-paced and challenging but manageable. I am a Computer Science student here and love how much attention I can get from the small class sizes, and can say that all of my professors have been really helpful and knowledgeable. A good amount of homework is given for every class, and the teachers expect you to do it and spend a fair amount of time doing so. But if you do, you will learn a lot and be ready to transfer to a 4-year program. Also, North Seattle encourages students to get internships while there, and have programs to give you school credits for doing so.

Overall Experience at Seattle Community College - North: North Seattle is great. The teachers really care about the student's needs, and try to make sure everyone understands the material even outside of class time. There are a variety of students that go here including International, Running Start, Continuing Education, Traditional, etc., and the diversity is great. Also, classes are offered during most hours of the day, so you can really tailor your schedule to your needs.

Overall Experience at Seattle Community College - South: South is the best to me because there are lots of useful resources available on campus.

Academic Flexibility at Seattle Community College - Central: Teachers who have at least two of the same course per quarter, will let you set in on the other class, if needed/ Also teachers have great office hours and work with you to find a time to meet.

5 College Junior

Online Courses at Seattle Community College - Central: There are great interfaces that make it easy to connect with other students, Teachers also have real time office hours which makes it easy to have a face to face conversation

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility at Seattle Community College - Central: Most teachers have at least 2 of the classes, at different times per quarter, If you can't make your official class time, the professors will let you set in in the other. Most professors have great office hours and usually can work with your time frame as well.

4 College Junior

Career Services at Seattle Community College - Central: There is a very large career services center as well as a large transfer department. As many professors also work in their current field of teaching, they sometime let students know about jobs, internships or volunteer positions within their own company

Overall Experience at Seattle Community College - Central: The professors mostly hold Ph.D's in their area of teaching, many still;l work in their current filed of expertise making the information you learn current and relevant. The class sizes are between 20 - 30 students allowing lots of interaction with the professors and students. The school also uses many PC based programs for Math assignments and testing as well as canvas, an internet based system for teachers to post assignments, grades, lectures and allows students to work at home as well as, in the classroom.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience at Seattle Community College - Central: There are many job fairs on campus. I believe many students transfer from my school into top rated colleges such as University of Washington, Notre Dame and my dream transfer school Yale. The school also offers many study abroad programs

Academic Experience at Seattle Community College - Central: I go to a community college, therefore the mostly offer AA-transfer, AS-transfer and a large variety of occupational programs. Luckily they have some AA and AS degrees with emphasis. I am in the AS-transfer program with an emphasis in Global Health. They offer all the classes you need in science, however the offer some interesting classes to get you ready to work on a BA. They offer a medical anthropology class, which is fascinating and really helped me believe my decision to go into global health was the correct one.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience at Seattle Community College - Central: The College is located in the Capital Hill neighborhood of Seattle, the most diverse in Washington state. Many of the professors are also working in their field of expertise, therefore most classes are up to date and you are learning about current trends and ideas. Not only is the teaching staff very diverse, the student body is comprised of many nationalities, religions, handicaps and genders. You can learn so much from your classmates. I never thought a community college would be so educational. I thought it would just be a place to get through my general requirements. It has turned out to be so much more.

5 College Junior

Career Services at Seattle Community College - Central: Everyone is helpful in school

5 College Junior

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility at Seattle Community College - Central: One downside was that not every class is offered each quarter.
