Variety With a Good Price – In Kerrville, the off-campus dining is prefect for students. During the day there are about 20 different places to eat that are all within a 5 minute drive from campus. If you want to dine out or go on a date at a 5 star restaurant, there are 3 different Italian restaurants to choose from that range from great price (Valentino's) at one to the more exquisite feasting at another (Bella) and the famous Mexican Mamacita's that are moderately priced. Or let's say that's too much, you want something different like a relaxed enviroment with an exotic taste. Kerrville has 4 amazing Mexican and 2 fabulous Chinese restaurants to choose from. El Charro is a favorite for students because it is a great place to gather a large group, the prices are very cheap, and there's plenty of food to go around. It provides a hangout that is cheap that you can stuff yourself to no end! Now that sounds like every college student's dream. A another good place to meet up if you're not really a Mexican food lover is Chopsticks, a Chinese restaurant that is cheap, relaxed, and provides simple entertainment of trying to figure out how to successfully feed yourself with chopsticks! Another thing that college students are known for is staying up way pass our bed time because the parents aren't there to instruct otherwise. At about 2 am, there are still 5 places open to hungry college kids. They are all fast food places except Denny's and IHOP. Still not impressed? You want something that screams cute danty coffee shop. Well Kerrville has that too! The best place to go is Saladas in Town Square, they are cheap and have all homemade meals! All of the restuarants in Kerrville offer vegan specials and selects; all you have to do is ask!

There are tons of diverse places to eat in Kerrville. We have a Chili's, Fuddruckers, Mamacitas, Bumdoodlers sandwiches, Subway, 3 Chinese Restaurants, Pizza Hut, Cici's Pizza, Caesars Pizza, Dominoes, Wendy's, Culvers, Cracker Barrel, McDonalds, and for the special evening dinners there are steakhouses and korean BBQ places. Most of us eat in the Diner or fix dinner in the apartments but there are tons of places to go out for food! We even have a Kuhl frozen yogurt shop.

It's great! The hill country surroundings are beautiful. There is a bowling alley which offers a college night half price for students, a movie theater which only costs $5-7 year round, there's a river with multiple parks where you can go kayaking and more. There are places to go camping, and a lot of restaurants. There is a Walmart, a Hastings, and two H-E-B's in town for anything you need. There are coffee shops and there is a town close by that is full of art galleries. Kerrville isn't that small but it has a nice community feel.
