5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Living off campus seems to be really good move financially. The off campus options are mostly apartments and you can find roommates with other students from SSU or even local colleges. There are plenty of options. From what I have heard it cost basically the same to live on campus then off. The only con to living off campus is that you have to have a car or one of your roommates. It would be very difficult to transport yourself back and forth to school on the CAT.

Off-Campus Housing: I live at home with my parents don't think I can live off campus closer to campus because of location.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: If you live off campus, it cuts a lot of the costs of attending this university. Savannah State is employing many new actions that strongly encourage its upperclassmen to move off campus in order to bring more freshmen in.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I stay on campus but the people I know that stay off campus like it.

Living off campus while attending Savannah State University is an option available to students, but it is not required of students to live off campus. It is not required for students to live on campus as freshmen, either. It is pretty easy to find an apartment off campus for an affordable price, as long as you plan ahead and search early.

More students stay on campus because it's easier to stay involved and get to things available on campus promptly. Off-campus housing is within a five-mile radius and is nicely accommodated. A disadvantage of staying off campus is your involvement around campus. Suppose you only have classes on Tuesday and Thursday; you probably won't come to campus Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. Eventually, your tiger pride will fade, so stay involved.
