3 College Junior

Athletics: Going to the games are fun (lol)

3 College Freshman

Athletics: i have not had much experience in the Athletic field so I cannot give much of an opinion or review.

2 College Freshman

Athletics: Overall athletics are not good. They need help

3 College Junior

Athletics: There is room for improvement for the Athletics department at Savannah State University. Our football team is not the best and the equipment needs more funding. However, I believe with the right faculty and the proper funding, our varsity teams could be a force to be reckoned with.

Do you have athletic pride? Are you prepared to bleed orange and blue? If the answer to both of these questions is "Yes," then you're SSU ready. The Savannah State athletics program is Division I in the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Students support all athletic events, which are free to attend as long as you have your student ID. In addition to varsity athletics, at Savannah State, students have intramural sports that are dynamic and available to all students. So if you have "Tiger pride," you're in for the ride of your life. In August 2011, a new football stadium was completed. Another recent addition includes new athletic recruitment officers being hired in order to ensure continued future success in the department.

A major facility used by athletes, as well as students in general, is the Body Shop, where you can go to exercise. Many machines and equipment are available. The Body Shop is free of charge, and students must have a valid ID in order to be admitted.
