Administration: The rules I have seen enforced is drug and alcohol use. I've seen students get arrested for violating the policies. The police officers are very protective over the students and only want to see us prosper. When they see us making bad decisions they will correct and give us a warning. However if it becomes a problem then you will get arrested. The police officers believe that drugs and alcohol will prohibit you from being successful, and if you are around other students doing bad things then it is not setting a good example. So they will do anything to stop it and protect us from any harm.

Administration: There are few problems because we have campus police. They are always patrolling.

3 College Freshman

Administration: They got rid of smoking thankfully ! Honestly I never see the campus police patrolling the campus .

4 College Sophomore

Administration: The campus strictness at my school is great because we have random room checks.

Savannah State does not have a curfew, but students are required to obey visitation hours. Overnight visitors are discouraged from staying over during the week, so they don't interfere with students' schoolwork and responsibilities. Guests can only stay two consecutive nights, with extensions being granted only through the residence director. Resident/community assistants (RAs or CAs) are students just like any other, except that they are required to enforce the rules and keep students safe. They are also ambassadors of the school. RAs and CAs have many activities on campus to get students motivated.

SSU is a dry campus, meaning whether you are 21 years of age or not, alcohol is not permitted on campus. Students are subject to disciplinary action, even for just having alcoholic paraphernalia (beer funnels).
