Overall Experience: It is an inexpensive option, especially if you are from the area. I know it gives free rides to the top 10% of every class in the sauk valley area. It's option for online is also going to save me a ton of money in gas and other expenses. Everyone in the area should give it a chance.

Overall Experience: I love it. I love the smaller classes, making friends. I also love the fact that the instructors know who you are. I'd rather complete as much as I possibly can here than spending 10x more money at a university where I'd be doing the same classes.

Overall Experience: Overall, Sauk is a great school. The professors are very willing to help you with whatever you need. They provide lots of courses and the counselors are willing to help you set up and academic plan to help you schedule classes for current semesters as well as future ones. Class sizes are nice and small. They are small enough that teachers don't have teaching assistants, so there is no confusion between the two about grading, etc. You are also able to ask questions one on one.

Campus Resources: There is a fitness center available for student use as a one credit hour course. There are numerous office to help students with just about everything. The library is very good, they even have CDs and movies available to check out. They also have I-Share capabilities, which allows you to check out books from other universities. There is a student activities office and a student government that is in charge of campus activities. They do a great job, there are multiple events every month. They have a special event at the beginning of every semester for students to have fun and get free food.

Academic Flexibility: For some of the lecture courses there is only one lecture period available. Normally this would be awful, but since my school is a junior college, it is perfectly acceptable. There are multiple lab times for the science courses, which is awesome to work around the rest of my schedule. Since Sauk was my first college, I never had to transfer credits. I wouldn't know how they take credits from other schools. But the credits I earned at Sauk transfer well to most other universities.

Online Courses: The online courses are pretty good. In my experience they have been extremely helpful in completing my double major coursework. The summer courses were a bit difficult to do, since there is half the time to complete the work. The registration process is the same as regular courses. The professors give your their email and office hours if you need to contact them. There is not much peer interaction over the online classes, which isn't a big deal.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid office is difficult to work with sometimes when working on the FAFSA, because they don't always get it all done correctly. So they ask you to come back multiple times. They always worked it out in the end though and everything turned out okay. They are currently working on improving this process, so hopefully it will be better for future students.

Academic Experience: Free tutoring, which helped me pass my calc class. Not many classes for ag majors, only down fall.

Academic Experience: Most professors are helpful and teach their classes well. Registering for classes is easy, it can be done with a counselor or online. Although not many ag courses are available, they work with the University of Illinois to provide online classes.

Campus Quality: The campus life is very varied. It is possible to meet a variety of any time of the day.

Student Body: There is a great variety of people. We have a variety of clubs to meet the interests of our students.

Academic Flexibility: I have no problem with transferring credits. They were very helpful in guiding me to my place of transfer to my next college.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Sauk has been very helpful making all transitions run smoothly.

Online Courses: My online class is a new experience and I love it! It is unique that all the work is online and every interaction with students and my teacher is all online. The professor/student relationship is great because there is a forum for students to ask the teacher questions and she always replies within one day. Everyone can also email her.

Overall Experience: Being a small community college, Sauk was a great choice for me and so many others. They truly care about doing whatever it is to make you strive to be your best. I would choose Sauk again if I could do it all over again because the staff here is so much easier to get in contact with rather than professors at big universities. That being said, grades are easier to keep up if I don't understand something I can send an e-mail to that teacher or meet up with them during their office hours.

Campus Resources: Sauk does have a great athletic center. In the front of the room it has treadmills, rowers, and so much more. In the back of the room the weight room can be found. Sauk's library is huge! The staff in there is great and they can help you find any book you need.

Campus Resources: The computer labs at Sauk are almost always open for students to use, unless there is a class in there, which is very rare. In there, students can print the papers they need for free just by signing in. There is also wireless access available for students who bring their laptops to school.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think that Sauk has a terrific Financial Aid Office. They help you with everything including just signing up for financial aid on the website. My experience in the Financial Aid Office was great. The workers in there really cared about my needs.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: I would say that the acceptance to diversity is is accepted well here. There are so many different ethnic backgrounds here. We have clubs for religions, sexual beliefs, and even different ethnicities.

Academic Experience: I am still working on my prerequisites for the nursing program, but from what I have heard it is absolutely amazing. I do know that it is hard to get into, but most of the people graduating from the program will have a job also!

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Everything is offered here! The registration for Sauk is easy, and you can get all the help you need! The work load can sometimes be a bit much, but you are the one setting up your classes. Studying here is amazing. They have programs here to set up free tutoring, and there is also a Learning Assistant Center, where you can also get free tutoring.

Academic Flexibility: The experience I have had with Sauk so far are actually great. I'm very glad I made the decision to come here over a 4 year university. The classes that I am taking work out to where they are not right after one another, but they are also close enough together that I don't have to be here all day.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Sauk has a lot of great programs to get into, but our nursing program here is one of the best. I, for one, can not wait to apply and get started!

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: A lot of the people who have their jobs here at Sauk graduated with a degree from here, started out as a work study, or even both. They all know a lot about the school and can help you out with your major. Even if they can't they will be more than happy to find you someone who can.

4 College Junior

Student Body: There's no racism, everyone is friendly towards everyone.
