Advice on Finding a Job/Internship
Typically, there are a few on-campus jobs floating around, such as clerical work or driving a van to pick up students. If those jobs don't suit you, then visit the Office of Career Counseling (also in Westlands) to inquire about off-campus jobs. The folks at Career Counseling have connections to businesses and independent sources in the surrounding neighborhood and NYC. The third place to visit is the Office of Student Affairs in MacCracken. There, you can check out the Student Employment bulletin board filled with odd-job postings that range from babysitting local children to wiring stereos for seniors.
