4 College Senior

Career Services: I can't speak about it personally, but I have spoken to other students who have benefitted from their programs.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I am actually not sure what services post-grads can get? But as for our career center I do know that there special workshops and events just for career search topics; or say a student already has an internship but wants a heads- up for what to expect and how to succeed. Everything an internship student should know will be covered or can be answered at these workshops which are posted throughout campus.

Career Services: I don't have any proof of prospects, but I can only hope.

5 College Junior

Career Services: The personnel are very helpful there!

4 College Junior

Career Services: I am not sure about this area yet. I have had some job prospects from recruiters coming to my classroom.

The Career Services Center at SRJC provides students with lists of local job vacancies. They have counselors on duty that can give one-on-one advice about career choices. They also hold a "Career Day" for students where local business and hospital representatives set up booths and inform students about their job openings and career possibilities. It is a two day event, held in the center of the school so that even the uninformed students who did not know about the event can take a few minutes to look at all the booths.

For students near graduation, there is a course offered by the Career Services Center geared toward resume writing and job hunting. Career Services also helps set up internships for students who know what they want to do, or for those students who want to explore career possibilities, which really helps students when building their resume.
